Safe Location bad breakfast.

Data di pubblicazione: 12-mar-2014
I pro: I liked the location, I felt safe with the metal detector at the entrance. I like the free nescafe/tea for the am.
I contro: The restaurant needs improvement and cleaning. House keeping could be more respectful with noise. More attention to properly cleaning room.
Posizione: About 15 minutes from the largest mosque in the city, the roman amphitheater and downtown not far from airport. Beside a great fallafal restaurant.
Safe location for lone female traveler. Only 2-3 JD for taxi to downtown. I have stayed at other Ibis hotels throughout UK/Europe and the room was basically what I expected. It should be said that the breakfast was not only extreamly overpriced but most of it looked like it had been sitting out for a long time/repulsive. Even the fruit (apples and oranges... Usually a safe bet... Were clearly old and on their way out. My towels had that moldy smell like they had been left in the washing machine too long... After getting replaced the next day they still smelled sour. House keeping starts tending to rooms in the early am. (7:30/8am). They were really loud... and after speaking to someone else on my floor we laughed about the early wake up call. With that said, I would still recommend hotel. I felt safe, not far from airport or most sights downtown.

The bad beats the good at this hotel

Data di pubblicazione: 10-mar-2014
I pro: Nice Cleaning and reception staff. Generally clean. quick checkin
I contro: Security company used at site definitely need to be replaced. Security gate and entrance need redesgin. Annoying security, they come across as nosy.
I gave a Terrible rating because the first impression is really bad, a stupidly designed entrance, the security gate and staff are extremely ridiculous, in short a security supervisor called me stupid and told me to shutup, the entrance driving into the hotel is a traffic risk, extremely dangerous especially with the incompetent security staff handling the gate. to be fair, cleaning people very friendly and do a great job, reception staff as well, management needs improvement and certainly need to work on a number of issues at the hotel, some related to bad shower drainage. Management are good at listening but bad at taking action which is pointless.

The rooms are clean and well-maintained. Hot water at all times, although it cools down a little by night time. Good WiFi access and best of all, it's free. A shopping centre lies conveniently across the road with its own food court if hotel food seems a bit dear. The hotel is also a short walk away from Madinah Munawarah St and Gardens St, both of which house a variety of different shops ranging from sweets and food to money exchange services.

Good Location.

Data di pubblicazione: 26-ott-2013
I pro: Lots of nice amenities close by.
I contro: New furniture in lobby and new carpets in rooms.
Posizione: Discount mall and great restaurant on the same block.
The hotel is in a good part of town. There is a shopping mall just across the street and some wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself is nice. The hotel lobby is generally new looking and the rooms have a modern appeal to them. However, it is getting near the time to replace the hotel lobby furniture as the wear is showing as is the wear in the carpet in the rooms. The staff was very nice and helpful. Overall, I am pleased with my stay at the IBIS (although most of the time I was taking tours to Petra, Jerash, etc - so only needed a rest stop).
