When the price is low, should you expect that the provisions will be also? The staff were polite but impersonal. Not rude, just indifferent and disconnected. The Continental Breakfast was exactly that and casually restocked. When we got to the breakfast area at about 7:45am, there were four bagels, two muffins, a bowl of apples only, unmarked juice (turned out to be OJ) in a chiller machine, cereal, lots of sliced white bread, but no coffee and the "hot" water in the pumper pot was lukewarm. Guess I'm spoiled by places that offer hot foods and a waffle maker as well as a variety of fruits. Missed having an attendant who keeps the counters cleaned and neat, the breakfast items consistently replenished, and distinctly appeared to be paid staff and not another motel guest. Our attendant sat in the breakfast area chatting with what appeared to be family members during breakfast hours. There was a lot of running on balconies after 11pm, as well as smoking outside of our non-smoking room (had to walk through it as we exited or entered room). TV in room had horrible reception on the major networks. One lamp had burned out bulb, and when we left the bulb on the end table it was picked up by housekeeping but not replaced. There was a loud party Saturday night which ran (literally) through the conference rooms, breakfast area, and lobby. If I'd known about that, I would have wanted to change my room location or motel selection.
