Horrible Stay

Room is very old, dirty, and musty. The carpet was not vacuumed, paint was peeling off from the ceiling, the heater did not work properly. Had the heat on blast all night, but still not warm enough. The bathroom had no heat, and the hair dryer did not work. The furniture and appliances need to be replaced. The audio on the television kept going off and on. The hotel was too far from the main strip.The view from the balcony was the only positive thing about this stay. I would not recommend anyone to stay here and would never stay at this hotel ever again.

I contro: The breakfast offering, but I may have misunderstood their description.
Posizione: It was close to everything you could want to do in Gatlinburg.
We only needed a hotel for one night. It was just my husband and I, no kids. It seemed a little outdated, but no big deal. It was a great price, great location. I was only disappointed by the breakfast. Other Red Roof Inns offered a full breakfast.....this one was just cereal and waffles.

Quiet hotel close enough to the action

I contro: The hotel is "dated" and needs to be renovated
Posizione: The hotel is just far enough away from the "action" to be quiet, but close enough that you don't need to drive anywhere.
I have stayed at this hotel before and chose it again because the rooms are very spacious and the free continental breakfast is better than other hotels I have stayed at in the area.

Black hair in the bed and on one of the towels. Trash on the floor around the bed and covers folded up under the bedspread. Could hear quest snoring in the next room. Out dated carpet, furniture nothing matched.

Old, terrible parking, dim lighting in parking lot, Red Roof sign not lit up entire stay. The room was dingy and not cheery at all. Hotel staff were smokers who smoked everywhere and anywhere. One trash can on premises and always full. Advertised new mattresses on sign, but had old bedding.

Adequate but nothing to write home about

Posizione: Great location- it was nestled in the mountains on the edge of Gatlinburg. We got right in to parking down the road for the downtown attractions.
The inn was dated, but clean. We were just staying the night before seeing the aquarium in the morning, so just wanted a clean, comfortable place to rest. The breakfast was good but the facilities were half-way remodeled and the floor was very slick. I almost fell twice. The staff did their job but were not overly friendly either.

During freezing temperatures, about 3am we noticed the heat had gone out. Since we were leaving that morning we decided not to bother anyone. As my husband was checking out he informed them that the heat had gone out and their reply was "Well, you did book through Expedia". This was our first time staying at that hotel as well as booking through Expedia. They gave us a room as far from the elevator as could be. We were in the last room on the end and the only other people we encountered on that floor was in the room next to ours so now I wonder if they booked through Expedia also. This was a quick trip and for the rate we would not have complained until we got the "Well, you did book through Expedia" comment. Maybe an attitude adjustment is due here or they are in the wrong business. I highly recommend Red Roof Inn in Pigeon Forge, TN. The place we stayed could learn from them.

The room was very dirty!!!!! The carpet had not been vaccumed. The bathroom had numerous cobwebs. The hearing unit wasn't working properly which made the room cold. I will never stay here again & will not recommend.
