“Days Inn Huntington”

Although the room was clean and the front desk staff were friendly there were a couple of items I mentioned to them that need attention. The magnetic seal around the refrigerator looked like it hadn't been cleaned been touched in a long time. The same thing with the timer dial on the microwave. The blanket had burned holed in it and the bedspread looked like it needed to be laundered.

“graciously received”

We were very graciously received at the front desk with good advice on where to park our car with camper attached. The room was indeed non-smoking and very nice. The hotel was within walking distance of several eateries, a joyful respite after having sat for so long driving. The breakfast was bright and clean with plenty of choices and ample room for a nice crowd at breakfast. Items were happily restocked. I would highly recommend this family owned/operated motel.

“Don't stay here”

I booked a non smoking room and was given a smoking room. The room smelled hideous, both the bedspread and the blanket had cigarette burn holes. The windows did not open to let any of the stale cigarette smell escape. The front desk was unhelpful and very rude. Even though I showed them my confirmation for a non smoking room, they indicated there was nothing they could do as the hotel was full. I understand this is basically a motel and did not have high expectations, but it is not too much to ask for a clean room. I have stayed in the past in the Red Roof Inn right behind the Days Inn and their staff is always very helpful and courteous and the overall conditions of the rooms is much better (for the same price).

Hotel was a conveinence for our stopping point for the day. It was a very average - nothing spectacular but nothing bad either.

“Satisfied for the Price I paid for Room.”

I was well satisfied with the hotel for the price I paid. We got there about 10 minutes before 3:00pm check in time. I was a little put out that my room was not cleaned and ready to put my belongings in. The clerk at the desk was very nice and was unaware that the room had not been cleaned as of yet. So we went out to eat at the Golden Coral and to shop at the Huntington Mall. Everything is close and easy to get to. When we returned the room was ready. We enjoyed the outdoor pool my daughter and her friend had a great time swimming. The hotel was quiet and peaceful we rested well that night.

“Busy Pool”

They have an outdoor pool, which was very crowded. I dont know if locals come to use the pool or if there was just alot of people wanting to swim that day, but my 2 kids and I barely had a corner to use. Other than that everything was nice, may have just been a busy pool day.
