Excellent location, luxury hall but disappointing

Excellent location, luxury hall but disappointing service. Team professionalism and ability ( even to speak English, forgotten to change towels and bed linen if you dont tip them) , breakfast quality and variety, cleanliness and status of furniture (dirty window, broken tends, jacuzzi out of order, bathrobe with broken pocket, and equipment. Intermittent wifi, no double glass window ( can hear street noise as if the cars were driving by your bed as from 5:30 am) are barely at a level of a 3 star in Europe. And this having taken the luxury superior corner suite... i dont wanna know what you get if you check in for a normal room. All in all a decent ratio price, quality, location. But expect no luxury! In turkey you can certwinly obtain more value for your money!!!

I contro: duidelijker naar voren brengen dat dit een budgethotel met 5 sterren is wat niet is meegegroeid
Posizione: 200 meter van het water, 1 km van de grand bazaar
slordige entree, moeizame incheck, kokendwarm in gangen en kamers, ramen open betekent putlucht in de kamer, kleine kamers met seaview (als je op je tenen staat), grote kamers ruim maar zeer gedateerd, sanitair uitstekend, internet uitstekend, tv uitstekend, bedden prima, rooftop bar dramatisch, zeer langzame bediening, slecht assortiment, erg ongezellig, ontbijt een ramp. hotel is uitsluitend na 18.00 met de auto te bereiken, ook wel een weetje!!

Voor een 5 sterren hotel bij Sirkeci en de prijs wat je betaald verwacht je aardig wat. De kamer is veelste klein...geen uitzicht en een bloedhete kamer. Douche was te klein en het water druppelde letterlijk....lPersoneel valt mee...Al jaren stond dit hotel op mijn verlanglijstje maar helaas is het echt vies tegen gevallen. I.p.v dit hotel kan je beter naar een 4 sterren hotel gaan waar zowel personeel, kamer en de rest wel voldoet aan je eisen. Echt jammer!!

The room was too warm, the windows opened to the atrium of the hote so it was noisy, no on except at the reception could speak English, the gym was almost non-existent. The corridor light was not working, I had to use my phone to walk to the main bank of lifts

Not a 5* Hotel

I have three complaints. First my check-in process. I reserved the room for myself when I decided to visit my friend who lives in Istanbul. My (male) friend met me at the hotel when I was checking in. The woman at the reception refused to speak to me and asked for his identification for the check-in process. When I told her that the room is for me and not my friend, she still continued to give the hotel room keys to my friend. Next, I booked a junior suite with free breakfast and wifi. When I checked in, they woman told my friend that what I reserved was for a room only, no breakfast. When I showed her my printed confirmation stating that it included a free breakfast and wifi, she called her manager and her manager told me they would be willing to give me two free breakfasts, but that I'd have to pay extra for the other mornings. Finally, the junior suite that they put me in, room 124, overlooked the lobby. In the mornings around 7am, the lobby music starts up and it becomes noisy in the lobby. The windows are not very good and I was unable to sleep in so I requested another quieter room. Yes, they moved me to a quieter room, but it is also a room what is smaller, less comfortable (the outlet plug was in the middle of my headboard!), and with less amenities. Did I mention that I booked a junior suite with free breakfast and wifi? Well, the free wifi worked well. *sigh*

Nice hotel centrally located to visit everything,

Good please to visit but were unlucky with cold wet weather so avoid going in winter. Not good of you don't like walking or are wheelchair bound. Very narrow, cobbled street and very hilly around tourist sites. Best to travel by tram not car/ taxi as traffic not good.

Bad service

The service is not on the level of a high class hotel. Rooms had to be paid at arrival. When we left, they had no information of the payment and I had to show my receipt of the payment so that I didn't have to pay again. My friend got room which was really hot, the temperature was 30 degrees (in the winter). When she complained, the first response was "Well, you only booked a standard room". When they finally agreed to change the room as the temperature could not be changed, she got a room the size of a closet. When she complained about that, she was told that the hotel was full. We could see that it was not full, the breakfast room and corridors were empty. Then we were told that our rooms are not including breakfast. I had fortunately my receipt from which said that breakfast is included. They did not believe it but said that they will let us have breakfast as a sign of good will from them. When we were leaving, in addition of trying to charge us again for the rooms that we had already paid for, the receptionist mentioned many times like in shock that we have a big bill on the room for drinks in the bar. So what? We were there on the counter to pay for it. And a ridiculous thing was that we had to wait at the counter until they check our rooms, apparently they assume that we will lie about how much we have used from the minibar.
