Just OK

Data di pubblicazione: 18-mag-2015
The room was clean but not spotless it showed signs of wear. WI-FI was irritating, it would shut off after each use. Floor was tile, no carpet and my socks got dirty from walking on it. Location isn't the greatest. Free breakfast was above average. This was a last minute choice. We have stayed in other hotels in the area and there are better places to stay in Kingman.

Our Stay at Kingman AZ, Quality Inn

Data di pubblicazione: 4-mag-2015
I pro: Friendly, helpful staff, clean, quiet, great breakfast, decorated with nostalgia from the 50's & 60's, our kind of time.
Posizione: On historic Rt. 66, lots of nostalgia in Kingman, great for baby boomers not far from Hoover Dam, & first of May is car rally time, loved it!!
We arrived at the Kingman AZ Amtrak depot after two days travel on the train approximately 12:30-1 am in the morning. Quality Inn had pickup available to take us to the hotel. The staff was so helpful and friendly even at that hour, Jessie picked us up brought us back to a nice clean room with a very comfortable bed. The next morning we were able to have a great breakfast. The staff at the hotel were so helpful and friendly, we couldn't have asked for better treatment. It is one of the older hotels but it is well cared for, clean, quiet with a super friendly staff. We would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Kingman.

OK in a pinch.

I pro: As above. Also, they had a nice display of Route 66 memorabilia.
I contro: The repairs finished. New bath towels.
Posizione: Location on old Route 66 was fine. The only thing we did was go out to dinner and go to Laughlin, NV which was only 20 something miles away.
Motel staff was pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was quite good, but the place was obviously undergoing repairs. It was adequately clean and the shower was nice, but the bath towels were not very big, the pile a little thin, and they were obviously old. The bed was good.

Great room, clean bathroom, neat, nice bed and decor, cable and warm heater. The staff bent over backwards to help us and breakfast was reasonable Eggs and waffles, yogurt and coffee. Kingman is a good place to stop over there is a menu in the room of all the food places in the area.

Pile it higher and deeper

I pro: The check in process and staff.
I contro: See above regarding the mountain of mattresses!
In the upper middle section of the motel there was a stack of mattresses, furniture, and refrigerators that was about 12 feet high and covered with plastic tarps. Who runs a motel that way? The next time you stay there and your mattress smells like a dirt pile, you will know why. Stay away!

Kingman's worst place to stay

Data di pubblicazione: 2-apr-2015
Upon arrival, I was booked into a 2nd story room and the front desk didn't bother to tell me there was no elevator access. Apparently, they had just painted and replaced carpet in the room and the VOC's & chemical emissions from the new carpet and paint were overpowering. The room had plaster droppings, used q-tips on the floor, a rotten apple in the fridge, shampoo bottles on the window sill, and other trash/debris on the bathroom floor. The bedding had what looked like black mold stains and there were cigarette burn holes. The renovations were taking place in the room next to me as well because I awoke to hammering and sawing at 7:30 am. I couldn't open the window to air it out because the smell outside was worse than inside! A family member gave me an air filter to use the 2nd night but I woke with sinus issues, cough and headache. I went to check out early (had reserved another day) because I was ill, and the front desk person told me I would be charged for the 3rd night and I would have to contact Expedia for a refund. When I asked to speak to a manager because I was ill from the VOC's, "Jenn" told me she was the manager. I asked her for her business card (shouldn't all hotel managers have a business card?) and she gave me a generic hotel card. When I asked for her name, she wrote only her first. When I asked for her last name, she replied, "that's all you need, Honey." Rude, snarky and unprofessional 'manager' and dirty, loud and downright toxic environment. Horrible!
