The 120,000-square-foot casino includes 1,200 slot and video poker machines, 80 table games, a poker room, and a race and sports book.

Six times a day (beginning at 7 PM), Brazilian Carnival floats suspended from ceiling tracks swing through the two-story Masquerade Village shopping/dining mall and above the casino. The Show in the Sky features performers dancing in the floats and tossing bead necklaces to spectators below. For a surcharge, guests can ride in the float parade.

Renowned for their quirky comedy and cerebral humor, Penn & Teller entertain nightly at 9 PM (except Thursday and Friday) in the 1,500-seat Penn & Teller Theater.

“Great staff okay location”

The Rio staff were great, the room was clean and the shuttle to the strip was frequent,dependable and the drivers were always upbeat and helpful. However if you have a limited time in Las Vegas you would save lots of time by being on the Strip itself, given that it was good value for money!

“extra charge for everything!!!!”

We have gone to vegas for many years for the NFR. This was the first time we have stayed at the RIO. The reason why we wanted to try was we had eaten there in the past and we liked visiting. So we decided this year to try something new. When we got there they told us we should upgrade our room for $20.00 a day more. We were told if we wanted a new reno room that was newer we should upgrade so we did. The room was newer but you could tell it was well used. The sofa sagged, and there seemed to have spill marks on the surfaces of everything else, The gym has a charge of $21.00 a day not included and the pool is closed for the season. There was no hot water so when we called the main desk they said they would get back to us. 30 mins later someone called back and said to let the water run as that side of the hotel dosen't have many people in it so it takes longer to get there. 25 mins later hot water!!! the last time I hear that Vegas had a water shortage!! no wonder. The tables in the casino are very high $25 min on blackjack. I would not go back to the Rio just for the sheer cost of everything. Do yourself a favor and stay in a local hotel casino off the strip. The service is a 100 percent better and they will do everything to make your stay one to remember.

“My Favourite in Vegas”

Have stayed at the Rio a few times in the last couple years and I really like it, the large rooms, comfortable beds, shuttle to the strip, etc.

“Not going back there”

The hotel is to far from the strip and other commercial businesses. When I checked in I was told at the front desk I was on one floor, which was same floor as all my other friends were staying, and when i get to the room, I was sent to wrong floor and ended up staying apart from my party. I spoke to manager and explained she said all she could do was apologize... on a wednesday when it's not even busy... The shower in the room was almost cold and that was horrible. I don't see any reason why I'd stay there again.

“Nice place to stay”

Rio advertized Welcome Rodeo Fans but the only TV where you could watch the Rodeo was very small and had no sound. Not exactly Rodeo Friendly.Shame on you !!! We will have to stay next year at a Rodeo Friendly Hotoel. But your rooms were really nice and so was your staff.

“Disappointed!!”

Rooms are showing the age of the property. Wall paper peeling, old fixtures. No coffee makers in room for coffee or hot water. Room upgrades get you nothing. Front desk staff are little or no help. Use to be a great property but it is now declining.

Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is worth seeing if you have never seen a good rodeo. You see the best of the best. Las Vegas does a great job of hosting the event.

“Nice Facility for Meetings”

The room is clean and spacious. Easy self-parking, but the walk from the parking deck to my room, passing through the casino, took about 10-15 minutes.

“Choose The Right TIME to Go To The RIO”

The Rio staff was great and the room was good too. However when we got into the room we discovered the pool was closed for the season, the Seafood Buffet was closed for the week and so was their Italian restaurant. As it turned out they also closed the Voo Doo outside portion of their restaurant because of the strong winds. When we noted on checkout all of these amenities that where not available they noted that each had been noted on their webpage and that Expedia should advise people of these closures. They attempted to make things right, but I do see that it is important for Expedia to get up to date information for the hotels they book for its clients. In the future I will check out hotel webpages before booking.

“Worth the money without a doubt!”

Stayed at the Rio and can only say good things about our stay. The rate was very good and the extras were welcomed by us. The complimentary 24 hour buffet pass good at 7 hotels was outstanding. Even had 2 glasses of wine on top of everything also complimentary. The staff was helpful and courteous. Only had 1 waiter who was not up to par and that was at the AAB&G. Guess he was out of it.
