Did not live up to expectations

Data di pubblicazione: 5-feb-2014
I pro: No comment
I contro: Friendly staff!!!
Posizione: The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood and close enough to walk (25 minutes) but would recommend a taxi in the evening.
This hotel, advertised as 5 star, was not a 5 star at all. In the reviews it stated that the centre was a 10-15 minutes walk. It is at least 25 -30 minutes. Luckily there was a taxirank across the road with good and cheap transport including drivers with big smiles. On arrival we were shown a room with the view of a very busy road but when mentioned at the reception we were swiftly changed to a room with a view of gardens and pool. Thank you! Food was extremely basic as far as breakfast was concerned and as we ate out in the evening I cannot comment on the main meals served. The staff was sullen and appeared uninterested, except Amina and one other young man. After a fall during a trip, hurting my wrist which caused bad swelling in the evening, reception was totally uninterested when I asked for help. I.e bandage or a sling. Seemingly there was no first aid (kit) available. The next morning a friendly taxidriver, who noticed my sore arm took us to a pharmacy to strap it up. This hotel should teach it's staff to smile and be more approachable it might live up to the claim of 5 star.

I pro: The breakfast buffy was very nice.
I contro: There were some issues with the WiFi service in the hotel.
Very nice hotel. 20 to 25 minutes waking distance from Alfana market which is the main market in Marrakish. There were some issues with the WiFi service in the hotel. I would definitely comeback to this hotel.

decent enough

Data di pubblicazione: 15-dic-2013
this is a decent enough hotel, caters to lots of big tour groups that come and go. The staff are friendly. The place is a decent 3 star hotel. Good with family/kids. There is a Carrefour grocery store about 10-15 minute walk away for boozey-booz and snacks.

Good position

Data di pubblicazione: 13-nov-2013
I pro: The position
I contro: Another entrance at the back of the hotel close to where the bikes and staff entrance is. This woul save a 10 mi added walk around the corner
Posizione: Great location. Jemma el Fnaa 15 minute walk, or 5 min by horse and cart. Casino, restaurant, bars.
This is our second visit to the Kenzi Farah. Although it states it is a 5 star we would rate it more of a 4 star. The hotel looks much as it did in 2011 but could maybe do with a lick of paint. However, for the price we paid it suited our needs. The breakfast buffet is very good and kept us going all day. The rooms are a nice size and beds very comfy, also with a bath as opposed to just a shower. The hotel has a nice pool area however the pool has to the coldiest one we have ever used but if your brave enough to try it leaves you feeling very refreshed. The good thing about the Kenzi Farah is that it is within walking distance to Jemma el Fnaa Square which has to be the craziest place on earth, but not a place we would choose to stay. The hotel has a spa and treatments but the Hammam(body scrub and mask) was 400 dinar each here so we had it done at the square for 240 for both so its wise to shop around. The staff we found to very pleasant and all in all the hotel is good value for money

Pleasant, clean and well maintained hotel

Data di pubblicazione: 17-ott-2013
I pro: The hotel staff were polite and went out of their way to arrange a birthday cake & song for our 3 year old on his special day!
I contro: Be aware of taxi drivers who strongly recommend a certain souk/ store as you may find yourself forced to spend money there once you arrive!
Posizione: Amazing hotel location, in the 'nicer' part of town- hivernage- yet still only approx 15 min stroll into jema el fenaa. Close to the new town aswell
This was our 2nd time in Marrakech and was once again a pleasing experience. We travelled with our 3 yr old and he loved the whole trip, from splashing in the hotel pool to wandering through the busy souks. We stayed 7 nights and found it more than enough time to relax and see all there is to see. The people were nice and food good. We would recommend trying out some of the traditional cafe's tucked away in the old town. The sightseeing bus was a good way to see some of the main spots and we enjoyed jumping on and off with the 2 day pass, definetly worth the money. For children a camel and / or pony ride outside Menara Gardens will bring smiles. For trendy cafes and a lively evening dining experience be sure to visit the hivernage area, especially near palace de congress.

Tough for business

Data di pubblicazione: 15-ott-2013 su Hotels.com
Hotel would have been fine for an all-inclusive holiday package but difficult for business. On arrival, room had not been made-up from previous occupier; internet didnt work. It was impossible to get a snack and a drink at the same place before 6pm so if you worked through lunch and wanted a Coke/beer and sandwich you would have to go to two different places quite a walk apart.Fine for a holiday though
