Terrible

The experience at this inn was terrible.. I felt as if my family was being watched at all time.. No air conditioner and the rooms smelled.. We had friends over and called just to make sure how many people where going to sleep in the room..just overall bad experience.. Don't recommend it at all.. I'd rather spend a couple extra dollars and get a good room.

Disappointing

I pro: Not too far from Monterey and Fishermans Wharf.
I contro: Badly needs an upgrade. Need to improve free breakfast. Breakfast room is very small.
This hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. Rooms back on to a noisy road and the breakfast offerings are minimal. Although relatively clean, the windows were dirty in the room we had and the toilet was slow to flush. Pros: roomy, free wifi and not too far from Fishermans wharf by car. Cons: outdated, noisy and very little offered for the free breakfast.

I pro: Price was fair
Basically comfortable. The outside door was not tight when shut. Noisy, both from neighboring rooms and outdoor area. People loud late night (after 10PM).

NICE HOTEL CLOSE TO MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM

I pro: ROOM,POOL.
I contro: NO A/C IN MY ROOM JUST A FAN,BUT THE WEATHER IS NICE.
NICE ROAD HOTEL FOR A ROAD TRIP BETWEEN L.A. AND SAN FRANCISCO. GOOD HOTEL FOR THE AQUARIUM .

Very Budget

I pro: Location was good. Clean room and warm heater in the bathroom.
I contro: Very outdated décor and bedding. Parking is tight for larger vehicle. Breakfast area is way too small to accommodate people. Very much a budget motel.
Posizione: Cannery Row is a short drive. Carmel By the Sea, the mission, Point Lobos are just a few minutes away.
If you want a place to sleep and not hang out, this is your place. Everything about it spells budget. The best part of the hotel is its location, a short drive to Cannery Row for an evening out. The room was clean, but has no amenities to speak of. The décor and bedding is very outdated. There is no AC and they have provided a fan in the room. Parking is free, but very tight if you drive a larger vehicle.The most disappointing aspect of the hotel is the breakfast area. It is REALLY small, too small to accommodate the number of people in the hotel. Noticing this when we checked in, I made sure we were at breakfast when it opened and I still had to eat with a plate on my lap. Everything is small, small cups, tiny muffins (literally two bites), small bowls, etc. I wasn't willing to wait in line for the one waffle maker which would have made the breakfast experience more tolerable. Side note: I didn't appreciate the check-in clerk nose snorting while were trying to eat breakfast. Gross! Over all, it served our purpose as an overnighter, but we ended up going to lunch really early since our breakfast experience was so disappointing. One of the perks of this hotel, I thought, was being able to save money on breakfast for our family, but that really is not the case.

Price too high for such low quality

I pro: It's located in Monterey
I contro: The air conditioning/ heater situation. General repairs such as locks for bathroom windows and balcony screen doors
Posizione: It's in Monterey Ca. Beaches, Fishermen's wharf, and the aquarium are a short drive away.
In the lobby there's a sign on the front desk that says "We have no auto heaters or A/C. To cool the room open the sliding door and use the oscillating fan to quicken the process". Went to Monterey to escape the Fresno heat. Fortunately Monterey has a usually comfortable climate. The bathroom window which faced the hallway had a missing lock. The sliding glass door had a lock, but to get air flow you have to open it and pull the screen across which has no lock.
