Non merita assolutamente 4 stelle: bagno senza riscaldamento (a York d'inverno fa molto freddo), niente frigo bar in camera, stanza piccola. Le apparenze ingannano.

Excellent hotel on the Racecourse

I contro: Minor care and attention to guests as above
Posizione: Location is good. Not in dead-centre but really close by. Everything on hand in a great city to visit.
Excellent hotel. Hotel was extremely comfortable, room very good, excellent facilities. Whilst almost all of the staff were very good, check-in desk receptionist was a bit abrupt and guy in Leisure Centre was more interested in chatting to a bikinni-clad young woman, clearly a member of the facility and not an hotel guest. We often stay at Marriott hotels so great for three days ( apart from two small irritants with above named staff).

Fine but didn't sleep that well

Classy hotel but (for the price) beds too soft, rooms too warm, windows too small.

Good hotel, enjoyed all the facilities although room was looking a little tired and in need of updating. Overall, very enjoyable stay and would come back again.

NOT THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY

The hotel is comfortable enough, but too expensive. Breakfast at the weekend we stayed was a shambles. Far too many people for the staff to handle.

Too far from town....

Found the room to be a typical business style, bed really uncomfortable and lumpy, asked for extra pillows due to having a dust allergy (feather pillows) to be told they had none, then they arrived and they wasnt feather... Hairdryer didn't work and it took nearly an hour to get thru to reception and receive a replacement, bathroom was pretty dirty and when my husband had showered the evening before he'd got some shower gel on the tiles and it was still there the following day!!! Not enough milk and sugar in the room, but found the staff lovely, all in all would not stay in a marriott hotel again as I expected 5 star and barely found it a 3 star, I don't consider myself to be fussy but cleanliness is something I expect when paying the prices we did

Marriot Tadcaster Road York

I contro: Cant think of anything.
Posizione: York within 1 mile with attractions and shops. Situated close to York race course
Book in at Hotel was quick and staff pleasant and friendly. The reception staff were always available for any queries or questions. Large Hotel room with double bed and other furniture. Ensuite with bath and shower. Everything clean and room cleaned daily. Good facilities in hotel with pool and fitness suite. Only had breakfast but food plentiful and well cooked. Hotel within 1 mile walk of Town centre or their was a bus that you can take.

Close to racecourse & city centre.

I pro: Good food. Pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms comfortable, clean and well appointed.
I contro: Nothing springs to mind.
Posizione: Close to York racecourse. Pleasant walk into city centre. Many local shops, historical sites, museums. Multitude of eateries.
Very comfortable, clean, very pleasant staff and food delicious. Very good facilities at the hotel. Close to York racecourse and on a fine day, a very pleasant walk into the very interesting city centre. All in all a great stay in York and very likely to return.
