“Hotel Champlain agosto 2010”

Complessivamente l'Hotel è buono per i servizi e la pulizia. La metropolitana è vicinissima (fermata ROMA Linea 2) e consente di spostarsi ovunque in modo rapido (carnet di 10 biglietti 12 euro). Le camere sono effettivamente un pò piccole ma funzionali e pulite. La colazione non è compresa e costa 14 euro a persona (scendendo al buffet), personalmente ho scelto di farmi portare in camera la colazione per una persona al costo di 14 euro ... era talmente abbondante che mangiavamo tranquillamente in due. Da tenere presente che, anche facendo colazione fuori, per un cappuccino chiedono tranquillamente 4.50 euro. Non lontano dall'albergo a Place de Clichy si trova uno Satrbucks che consente di risparmiare qualche cosa se si deve fare colazione fuori.

L'hotel Champlain è un piccolo hotel da poco ristrutturato. Confortevole, anche se le camere sono molto piccole, ben posizionato. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo!

“Clean Hotel”

Ok place front staff not very friendly . I only stayed 1 night here before flying home . Room was very nice and clean , only 1 channel in English (CNN) but just needed a nice bed to relax in and shower before flying back to New York . When I checked out the woman at front desk was not very friendly or even bothered to say goodbye or thank you , wireless internet was 8.00 euro for 1 hour I thought way too expensive . But its clean and reasonably priced so I guess for a few nights its ok , metro is near to take you to better neighborhoods .

“Just Okay”

The room was very, very small. My husband and I kept bumping into each other and I even bruised my arm on the towel rack just trying to squeeze through the bathroom. There was no AC in the room and it was HOT. Fortunately there is a small desk fan which helped. The room and bathroom were very clean which was good. The hotel staff were okay. They really did not try to help us too much with finding things to do. They did speak English which was good though. It is on a major street so it's convenient and easy to find. The room service breakfast was wonderful though. They are quick, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was an okay hotel and I "could" stay there again, but I will probably book at a chain hotel next time so we get AC.

“Good quality cost ratio”

Good quality hotel, adequate service. Only down side, costly access to Internet access. Otherwise, very good choice. Neighbourhood is safe, but not a lot of things to see. Just 10 min walk from Pigalle, if you're into that kind of visiting. Otherwise, just 2 min away from the metro station taking you to the downtown area. Again, very good choice.

“Great Choice”

I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The front desk was helpful. The room was clean and new. I'm very selective about cleanliness and I was extremely comfortable here. It was air conditioned, which I was not expecting. However, I'm so fortunate it was air conditioned as it was July and very hot. The neighborhood had many stores, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Yet, it is removed from the more touristy destinations. The Metro was just two short blocks up the street. It provided quick and convenient transportation to everywhere I wanted to go.

“Good location for local flavour, view from room not so nice”

Good hotel if you only need a place to sleep as the view from the room if of the Metro train line and is noisy if you have your window open great location for shopping with the locals, close to a Metro train station
