“great location, organic and not Parisian hotel”
this hotel location is excelent! close to metro and busse, in a middle of liveful neigboarhood, excelent Paris experience. but the room could have been more comfortable - 1. the matris is comfortable, but it is in the hight of the floor. 2. there are no shelfs to unpack your suitecase. 3. the breakfast is organic, which is nice for a day or two, but it is not authentic to Paris. no cheese in breakfast, for example. overall we enjoyed it very much!
“Prototype. Not ready for producdtion”
Nice concept but not designed for an adult. If I were 13 or 14 years old, I'd love it. The rooms are clean but you must walk on the bed to get to the bathroom. There are no curtains and the airplane sized bathroom has clear windows into the room so you're visible by anyone else in the room and the people across the street. There is no place to put luggage unless you block the door into the room. There is a small desk that is too close to the wall and can't be moved. There is a foam stool to sit on but my weight compresses it to the floor. The hotel claims they are earth friendly yet they use paper cups and other disposables in the canteen area. There is no phone in the room and no receptionist so no way to contact people in other rooms. I had really high hopes and was deeply disappointed. If they fix some of these basic problems, it might be a great place to stay as it's in a great part of town.
“Nice and informal”
Nicely modern, informal hotel with good ideas. The interior design is fun, even though at times a bit impractical. The "sleeping area" is great and simple. The lighting is not so great. Fantastic breakfast, and extremely nice and helpful staff. Very good value for money, and refreshingly different from normal hotels.
“Good value, very clean, no bedbugs, nice breakfast, quiet”
I stayed for four nights at the Hi Matic this August 2011 and I would recommend it if you are a young couple on a budget. The price on Expedia was quite reasonable - especially since we booked it last minute and it fell on a UK bank holiday weekend. The room was quite modern looking. There wasn't a traditional bed and mattress there was something like a giant mattress which took up most of the room and the bedding was on top of that. The room was really quite small, but there was plenty of storage. It was nice to also have a room safe and an ipod dock. The room felt secure and there were lockers in reception. When we spoke to the staff they had some english and they were pleasant. The overall feel of the hotel was that it felt new and clean. I had read so many horror stories about hotels in france having bedbugs or something else unpleasant in the room that I was pretty pleased with this. The room I stayed in didn't have a bath and was right next to the stairs and the lift but I got a pretty uninterupted sleep and I thought it was pretty quiet. Location-wise the hotel is in the Bastille area and is about a 7-10 minute walk from the station. There is plenty to do in the area, lots of nice bars and restaurants and cafes.

Idéal pour 1 à 2 nuits au calme absolu. Chambres plutôt petites mais literie hyper confortable. Tout est bien étudié. Petit Déjeuner à volonté, tous produits bio. Hôtel original à adopter pour l'ambiance déstressante !
“Pequeño pero acogedor”
La minicabaña, es una habitación muy pequeñita pero si vas por poco tiempo, no está mal. Tiene TV y cortinas en las ventanas. La ducha es de cabina pero está bien. El water es enano!, pero para lo que se necesita basta. Dejan un jabón líquido. Eché en falta un vasito, para no abrir el grifo todo el rato. En la zona común hay un "tablet" por si necesitas conectarte a internet (gratis), también te dan la clave wiffi gratis. Está cerca del metro y hay un Día y otros supermercados, bares y panadería. El desayuno, consta de zumo de bote (ecológico), mermelada (ecológica), panecillos, mantequilla, te o leche (máquina) , yogurt natural, una barrita energética, además hay frutas. Lo único "raro" es que la botella de agua de litro no te la puedes llevar, se abre y se deja ahí si sobra. La habitación la hacen diario y me parece que también cambian las toallas. SUGERENCIA : dejar el papel de aviso si queremos que hagan la habitación o no. Si son tan ecológicos, no cambiar las toallas de un día para otro, solo nos secamos el agua, están limpias!!! A mi me pareció "original", volvería si pillara oferta!.
