“A slice of originality and character amongst the chain gang”

I searched through literally hundreds of hotels before I chose the Monte Carlo and I'm glad I went to the trouble to do so. Unlike nearly every other hotel I saw for a similar price this hotel was quirky with bags of charm , widely loved and the travellers' photos on Trip Advisor matched the professional photos taken by the hotel (very rare indeed!). The hotel staff were very friendly, the room was spotless, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and once the curtains were drawn it was pitch black, which really aided my sleep. We stayed in an en-suite double facing the courtyard, which was very quiet at night. The only slight downside was that the bathroom ceiling was very low (under 5' 10'') and there was nowhere to hook the shower head so you could have a standing shower. However, given that neither myself or my partner have mobility issues this was a small blip on an otherwise wonderful stay.

“Good Hotel in Paris (Bombay Room)”

We enjoyed our stay overall. I would like to have had a shower curtain, but it's pretty common to not have one. The street was a bit noisy, much less noisy with the windows closed. Bring earplugs while traveling in Europe. There was a fan in the room, so it was comfortable at night. It might be a bit hot if the temperature outside goes above 75 F. Overall I would recommend it to a friend.

“Great small hotel in Paris!”

We stayed at the Monte Carlo hotel in Sept. 2011 and were very impressed - especially with the staff and Thomas. The hotel is located in the Opera District and was convenient to the Hop on Busses and Metro. The staff was excellent in providing any services we needed for our stay in Paris. The rooms are very small but clean. We would definitely go back!

“Great hotel and great service”

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and were absolutely delighted with it. The hotel is on a busy street and there are lots of places to eat and drink to suit all tastes. The room was small but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The stay was made even more enjoyable with the staff always pleasant and offering help and assistance regarding recommendations for travel, eating places, etc. We even had our boarding passes printed for the return flight. In summary, a great little hotel at very reasonable prices, with very helpful staff. One not to be missed!

“Would stay here again”

Location was perfect! Convenient to many metro lines, very close to metro, easy walk to Opera area, easy transport to airport, many banks, conveniences (monoprix) etc. nearby. The neighborhood is not super residential, but I didn't mind and found it easy to get around. Staff was really helpful, most spoke excellent English, and the room was clean and quiet with a great view. Shared bath facilities were always spotless. I had a single room with ensuite shower and sink. It was exactly what I needed. I would very happily go back.

“Quite satisfied”

Again, everything was satisfactory and the reception desk personnel were personable as well as helpful. The neighborhood is active - lots of shops and acceptable small restaurants. Good location. Metro station nearby and you can walk to the Grand Boulevards area in 15 minutes.

“Monte Carlo”

I really enjoyed my stay at the Monte Carlo. The staff were polite and attentive. The room was clean, tidy and had everything I would expect. They got our room wrong at first (twin instead of a double), but were happy to rectify it. I would definitely stay there again.
