“Hotel Splendid - vicino alla tour Eiffel”

l'hotel splendid è in una buonissima posizione vicino allo INVALIDES e alla TOUR EIFFEL accando alla Ecole Militaire. Quartiere signorile con diversi locali nei pressi. La camera che mi è stata assegnata (ho pagato una camera tripla in quanto ho viaggiato coi figli) si suppone debba essere almeno spaziosa in modo sufficente per viverci. Avevo chiesto un matrimoniale e 1 singolo. Ho trovato 3 singoli Non si riusciva coi 3 letti nemmeno a passarci attorno tanto si era stretti. L'ultimo letto era addossato all'armadio (che non abbiamo potuto utilizzare) e al frigo bar (mai utilizzato ma per entrambi avremmo dovuto alzare il letto e metterlo sopra l'altro per riuscire a usarli. alla mia lamentela il personale ha risposto: a Parigi tutte le camere sono piccole. SI MA NON COSI' PICCOLE. Comunque Parigi è bella ma in questo albergo: MAI PIU

“Hotel Splendid - Parigi - a due passi dalla Torre Eiffel”

Hotel in zona bellissima,a due passi da Metrò,Torre Eiffel ed a 1km dalla Senna. Personale gentile e simpatico, le camere erano piccole ma pulite e con vista fantastica su Torre Eiffel. La colazione è a pagamento con 12 € ma solo con brioches,pane,marmellate varie,caffè e latte, le eventuali esigenze salate sono a pagamento. Sicuramente ci torneremo.

“Ottima posizione”

l'hotel è vicinissimo alla fermata della metropolitana escole militare. si può raggiungere a piedi la torre eiffel e les invalides. il personale è cortese e disponibile. le camere arredate con cura anche se piccole sono pulite, di recente ristrutturazione e molto accoglienti; dalla nostra finestra si vedeva la torre.

“Good value for money”

This is an old hotel parts of which have been refurbished to modern standards (eg Bathrooms) but it retains its period character. Basic and without frills it is fine for short periods and if you are out all day on business or sightseeing. Good value Buffet Breakfast (12 Euro's). At the Expedia Special Rate it is undoubtedly good value but don't expect 5 star service.

“Great view great location”

Loved our stay at Splendid Hotel. the staff were friendly and very accommodating. We didn't have the correct voltage adapter so were able to borrow one from the front desk. Amazing view from our room. Great location right by the Metro very convenient. If I ever visit Paris again I will stay there for sure

If you are looking for a big, well equipped, wonderfully furnished hotel then the Splendid hotel isn't for you. However, if you are looking for a smaller hotel that is clean and safe with very friendly and helpful staff in a great location the you should seriously consider this hotel. The hotel is a short walk from the Ecole Militaire metro and is in a relatively quiet part of the city. It is within walking distance of the Eiffel tower and our room had a great view of the tower. There are many cafes, supermarkets, bakers etc within a short walking distance. The greeting from the staff was extremely friendly and we found that they were all very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are simply furnished with a small ensuite bathroom but comfortable. I would certainly recommend the hotel

“Return visit to Paris with Oz relations”

As relatively frequent visitors to Paris we decided that a location near the Eiffel Tower would be best for a one night visit with relations from "Downunder". The Hotel Splendid was an excellent choice. It was a clean, comfortable base from which to explore the city, with pleasant & helpful reception staff. The view if the Eiffel tower from the balcony at night was wonderful. The taxi drive to the hotel from Gare du Nord was excellent value, going via Place de la Concorde, and our driver was delightful. We have tried hotels in a number of different parts of Paris. This was, for a typical 3 star small Paris hotel, definitely the best.

“The name says it all!”

We loved the Splendid! The staff, the location, everything was just what we were looking for. We upgraded to a junior suite when we got there (they included breakfast in the upgrade) and had a front corner (it's on the point of a triangular city block), 4th floor view of the Eiffel Tower! We also had windows on either side of the room that opened, for a nice view of the street and its sounds. The Splendid is located across the street from a little market, an ATM, and a tiny walk-in street cafe run by a great couple of guys from Tunisia. There's a nice open-air cafe on the corner, just across the street from Ecole Militaire. Les Invalides is 1 block away in the opposite direction (but not visible form the hotel...it faces the opposite direction). It's also about 1 block from Champs de Mars, the park in front of the Eiffel Tower. There's a taxi stand and metro station 1/2 block away. We ended up staying more days than originally planned due to TGV congestion over the Easter holiday and the staff was lovely and accommodating. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for everything is that our son had to sleep on a pull-out sofa bed that the slats kept falling out of, but he said was very comfortable. In fact, he said it was more comfortable than the one he slept on our last night in Paris at a different 4 star hotel (the Splendid was booked for our final night). The Splendid isn't fancy (no bidet), but we LOVED it! I can't imagine a better location, very safe. Highly recommended!

“not as impressive as advertised but good enough”

The location is excellent and very convenient to access tourist points of interest and also with shops and cafes near by. The satff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was not as impressive as advertised but clean and acceptable.
