I contro: Location was a bit difficult to find.
Very nice stay. Full service hotel. Was there for business and perfect for that.

Welcoming

The staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The room was well appointed and furnished nicely. My husband loved the warm cookie. A small refrigerator would have been nice. I know this is a personal preference, but the bed was too soft for my comfort, I didn't get a good nights sleep. The location suits our purpose, all in all, it's the place we'll stay when in the area.

Surprised by room quality.

In a convenient location near the highway, although somewhat hard to find. Hotels.com recently updated the pictures. They are not much more representative of the hotel. Seemed somewhat secure, although transients seems to frequent the gravel lot next door. Surrounded by much seedier hotels. Customer service was Excellent. Maintenance and attention to detail in the rooms was beyond my expectations.

Underwhelmed

Non-smoking room smelled like tobacco smoke (#125). Ice machine on level one broken. Called front desk and was told someone would bring ice. A hour later a different front desk person called and told us they had no container to put ice in...but we could go up to second floor to get ice. On check in both front desk personnel lacked professionalism. On the positive side--the room was quiet.

She will speak with the front desk agents accordingly. I have also informed our maintenance staff to have a look at the ice machine on the first floor. We plan to get this issue extracted right away. Disappointed

This was probably the worst DoubleTree I have ever stayed in. When I book rooms through Hotels.com I always expect to get the room that has no view or over looks the roof. Not a big deal since I am just traveling for business. The room I was put in was the worst, bathtub drain plug broken, cold water handle on sink leaked water when turned on, air conditioner sounded like it was ran by a small gas engine, bed was positioned against the wall that had the elevator equipment, the gym equipment was in poor condition and finally the hotel is located in a residental neighborhood. I stay at a lot of hotels and never write reviews but this was so disappointing for $200 a night I was compelled to write this review. DoubleTrees are generally really nice but this one is more in line with a low cost motel

Dear Guest, We would like to apologize greatly for your discomfort stay at our hotel. I have forwarded your concerns to our maintenance staff to look over the bathroom amenities are fixed and working properly and I have also informed our Housekeeping staff to reorganize the room to be better for the guest. If you are ever in the area again, I hope you give us another chance.
