“Perfect location for those wanting to see the best of Rome.”

I selected this hotel based upon reviews written by previous guests about it's wonderful location. I was not at all disappointed! The location was perfect, about a ten minute walk from St Peter's and the Metro station used to reach any of the other main tourist attractions in Rome. Furthermore it was only a short distance (again approximately a ten minute walk) from the bus stop to catch the bus shuttle to the airport. In terms of cleanliness, facilities and breakfast all these aspects were more than satisfying for the purpose of my trip.

“excellent experience overall”

Stayed for 4 nights and the only complaint i would have would be that we waited to be served in the bar for about 5-10 mins one of the evenings and no-one showed up to serve us. aside from that, the staff were nice and friendly, the room was lovely, bed was big and comfy and the breakfast was great. In terms of location, it's actually not bad, the vatican is close-by and there are plenty of restaurants as well. a little bit of a walk to get into the centre of town (10-20mins depending on how much you amble) but that's not a problem, rome is definitely a town where the more walking you do the better! Anyway, overall very good, would recommend....

“Can't wait to go back”

I have just returned from 4 nights in Rome. What a fantastic place! Loved Rome and loved the hotel. Great breakfast, enough to set you up for a day of sightseeing and walking. Really comfortable room very spacious. My only complaint would be the bathroom is a tight squeeze. Otherwise brilliant,

“NH hotels are Great!”

This is the fourth time that I have used NH hotels on a short city break - they have always been of a very good standard; but I have to say that Rome was the best! The rooms are spacious, well presented and quiet! The staff, very well schooled and most helpful. For the money a great experience! If anybody is 'wondering' where to go for a short break and you like history - Rome is a must! Be prepared for the crowds; but they don't matter; you will be swept away by the magic that is Roma. Leave room in your case the shopping is to die for! Via del Corsa - not to be missed!

“unwelcoming”

The hotel has a lot going for it - it is clean and spacious and the breakfast choice is amazing. What really spoilt it for us was the surly receptionist that we experienced on arrival. All the other staff were very friendly and helpful but this particular member of staff decided to keep up the level of substandard service and unhelpfulness throughout our entire stay. That together with unnecessary hassles on checkout, unfortunately marred our experience of what should have been a very pleasant hotel.

“Superb value in a great location”

An excellent hotel in a superb location for access to St Peters Square, with down town Rome just across the Tiber, plus the best shopping road in Rome, Cola de Rienzo less than 100 metres away. In this street you have all the top fashion shops seen in Via Veneto at better prices. Also, check out the number 81 bus from Cola de Rienzo. This will take you to and from the centre of Rome for only 1 Euro each way. One tip. Confirm the price with your taxi driver before leaving the airport. We were quoted 40 Euros at the central taxi stand, but the driver insisted on charging 50 Euros when we reached the hotel.

“Very impressed!”

My second visit to Rome and this hotel was very conveniently placed for walking to all the main locations. Also close to the Metro station to get over to the Colosseum. We had a superior room and upgraded to a junior suite for not much more...lovely sitting room with balcony. Great with air conditioning which was needed with the weather! All staff very friendly and happy to help. We have already spotted a good deal with one of their other hotels in Berlin and would not hesitate to book it.

Neither I or my wife could find anything noteworthy to warn people of about this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, both on reception and working throughout the hotel. The location was fine for us, situated about a 10 minute walk from the Vatican. Whilst we only had breakfast at the hotel, the food was of a good standard, and in plentiful supply. In addition to continental breakfast, there was also "British" food available (scrambled eggs / bacon etc.). We were offered an upgrade on arrival for 15 Euro's per night for a bigger room and free mini-bar. It ws money well spent. Our room consisted of a living room area with balcony, with a seperate bedroom / bathroom. Excellent standard too, with the room being serviced every day. All in all, we loved the hotel, and will return there when we plan our next visit to Rome.

“Good quality hotel in quiet location”

The Giustiniano was in a very good location for first time visitors to Rome, attractive, and within easy walking distance of many sites. Some nice restaurants near to hand. We paid for an upgrade (good value) and had an externally facing room - on to the street, but very quiet. Breakfast was good and varied, but popular items constantly ran out, esp the fresh fruit, and cooked items; the fresh coffee maker was completely inadequate in size for the volume of users. The staff were generally pleasant and helpful though there were a few minor housekeeping issues - and would say that for a four star hotel, the bath toiletries were barely adequate for two people to use, twice a day - especially the soap! But these are minor complaints - overall a very good experience.
