Great place to stay on Vasilievsky Island

Data di pubblicazione: 24-lug-2014
NashOTEL was in the perfect location for us. But we weren't sure what the hotel or service would be like. We needn't have had any worries. The reception staff was excellent - very good level of English, and couldn't have been more helpful when we asked for places to eat. They even spotted that it was my brother's birthday from his passport and gave him a present as we were checking out. Couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

Well maintained property in a quite area

Data di pubblicazione: 12-lug-2014
I pro: Breakfast, rooms, personnel. Parking in the entire district is free of charge and available. Bicycles are available for rent.
I contro: All good for the price paid.
Posizione: Location is not perfect. It's in the middle of Vasilyevsky Island and communication with mainland is restricted on weekdays due to traffic.
The hotel itself is just perfect: good rooms, good services, perfect breakfast. I got exatly what I expected.

Close to the metro

Data di pubblicazione: 17-mag-2014 su Hotels.com
Very reasonably priced hotel. It's located on a quite street, five minute walk from the metro station. The island itself is rather a bedroom community with not a lot of tourist sites. But the street is quite quiet, so I slept really well. The only improvement I would suggest is that the hotel buy room-darkening curtains for the windows. This obviously isn't an issue in winter, when the sum rises at 10:00 and sets at 16:00. But in summer - and I was there mid-May - I had to wear an eye mask to keep the sun from waking me up the in morning.

Excellent choice for St.Petersburg

I keep returning to this hotel on my trips to St. Petersburg. The best about the hotel is the staff; really friendly committed to a high level of customer service, a rarity in Russia.

Perfect for first visit to St Petersburg

Really pleasant and well located hotel. Exceptionally friendly and helpful hotel staff. Only small issue with my first room on 2nd floor, which was above a quite noisy outhouse at the back of the hotel. Moved to 3rd floor, which fixed the problem.

Lovely hotel, a little too far away.

Data di pubblicazione: 15-set-2013
I pro: Stylish, light and open and airy rooms, nice staff, good breakfast.
I contro: Nothing, except location. And that can't be helped.
Posizione: Not much to do nearby. We walked to Russky Kitch one night for dinner (about a mile? not sure) but otherwise ate in downtown St. P.
We stayed at the Nashotel for four nights, after three nights in a more centrally located hotel. Everything about the hotel was a delightful surprise. It's located in a pleasant, quiet suburban neighborhood, with a playground just down the street and food markets nearby. Breakfast, included, was substantial and delicious. The staff welcomed us with a welcome drink -- wine or a soft drink. The Metro stop was about five minutes away. It worked for us because we'd already figured out central St. Petersburg and it was one stop on the Metro to the center of the city. But the distance is a bit of a problem, especially if you're not that comfortable with super long escalators. St. P's Metro is very deep -- the deepest is 86 meters. The Vassilevsky Island escalator took three and a half minutes. There weren't many restaurants nearby and so we were back and forth on the Metro several times a day. But we were always glad to get back to the comforts of the hotel.
