Nice Hotel with easy access to the Plaza area

Data di pubblicazione: 1-dic-2014
Really nice and what you expect in a four star property. Found it odd that there were balconies all around the hotel but no access from the rooms and they appeared not to be used for anything.

A great spot

Data di pubblicazione: 4-nov-2014
I pro: We really enjoyed the location. It's very handy to everything and a mere 20 mins from Santa Fe airport. The staff we outstanding
I contro: Change the colour scheme to make it warmer and more intimate Have a little more activity in the huge lounge areas on a daily basis.
Posizione: With walking distance are multiple restaurants, shops, art galleries (G O'Keefe is around the corner) shuttle bus, museums and the Cathredral. Perfect
This hotel is located right down town close to everything. It's spacious and quiet and well maintained. The common areas ie Lounge and dinning area is quite spacious which can make it feel a little lacking In atmosphere However the spaciousness in the Old House dinning room was appreciated as I do not like to feel crowded when dinning The food, particularly dinner, was very good in this restaurant and the staff are very hospitable and always cheerful and helpful, nothing is too much for them. Our room was pleasant and clean. The visual tour of the hotel is accurate although the roof top pool is rather small. The hotel seemed to attract corporate events which created a more impersonal atmosphere however I would return

Nice trip to Santa Fe

Data di pubblicazione: 20-ott-2014
I pro: Location and staff. Location was walking distance to evrything. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I contro: A little more modernizing of the rooms. Better dining facilities, menu, staff, etc.
Posizione: Excellent restaurants, shopping, art galleries and museums nearby.
The hotel is nice. The staff is excellent - especially the bell service and concierge. The dining staff was a little light making service not quite up to par. Food was okay, but nothing special. The room was adequate, but one would expect slightly better finishes for a hotel of this price and stated caliber. (The popcorn ceilings in the rooms must go!)

El Dorado is lacking

Data di pubblicazione: 23-set-2014
I pro: Location is good; one block from Santa Fe Plaza
I contro: Friendlier staff would help tremendously.
El Dorado is tired and needs a face lift. Desk staff and restaurant staff lack training necessary for the hospitality business.

Too big. Facilities and furnishings dated. Not worth the price.

Very disappointing. Skip the spa - it is terrible

Data di pubblicazione: 16-set-2014 su Hotels.com
The hotel incorrectly added honor bar charges to our room. The spa was really bad. $200 for a terrible massage. Made an appointment for Saturday 9/13/14 for a deep tissue massage and the massage therapist said she was unable to do "deep tissue" because she wasn't a "brute". Her non-deep tissue massage (which is not what I scheduled) was terrible. After paying $200 for a terrible massage, the spa receptionist told the manager I seemed disappointed and the manager said, "So what? It isn't the first time." (Wow. I don't even know what to say about that.) It is clear the management of the spa is bad. The manager called out from the entry door to the spa reception desk (rather than approaching the girls and speaking to them privately) about a "no-show". It certainly wasn't the atmosphere you absolutely expect from an upper end hotel/spa. I will not be back.
