GOOD CENTRAL LOCATION FOR COUPLES AND FAMILIES

Data di pubblicazione: 31-ott-2012
I pro: LOCATION AND SIZE OF THE HOTEL AND BEDROOMS WAS VERY GOOD
I contro: THE STRANGE 'TUNNEL' LEADING TO THE RECEPTION
Posizione: 5 MINUTE WALK INTO THE CENTRE OF TOWN
IT IS QUITE A WALK FROM THE ENTRANCE OF THE HOTEL TO THE RECEPTION. HOWEVER A GOLF BUGGY WAS LAID ON TO HELP THOSE WTH SUITCASES AND THOSE NOT FIT ENOUGH FOR THE WALK. THE HOTEL WAS SPACIOUS AND THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD. THE DRINKS AT THE BAR WERE EXPENSIVE THOUGH. OUR ROOM WAS AT THE BACK OF THE HOTEL OVERLOOKING A ROCK FACE. BUT IT DID HAVE A VERY LARGE BALCONY AND WAS PRIVATE.

Good hotel but mis-represented

Data di pubblicazione: 24-ott-2012 su Hotels.com
The hotel and our room were very pleasant, and the location, close to the town and transportation links were excellent. The hotel has some drawbacks which are not apparent in the description. We visited in mid-October but the swimming pool was closed. There were only 3 fitness machines available, and there were no staff in attendance at the spa. As it had been the spa facilities that had attracted us to the hotel, we felt that we had been mislead.

Very nice hotel. Swimming pool a little cold. Only issue was walls seemed thin - i.e. could hear TV and other noises in adjacent rooms. But not a big problem. Very convenient for Sorrento town centre and not on a main road.

Nice hotel

Data di pubblicazione: 20-set-2012
I pro: Breakfast, the pool and patio areas
I contro: Tired bathroom
Posizione: Quiet yet handy for the town
The public areas were very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Breakfast is excellent. Our room was very comfortable, though the bathroom was rather tired and in need of refurbishment. Some noise from neighbouring rooms flushing the toilet was a minor irritation.

Good location but a bit soulless

Data di pubblicazione: 14-set-2012
I pro: Location for Sorrento town centre
I contro: No atmosphere. Flakey internet service. Tragic gym facilities.
Posizione: Terrific if you want to spend the evenings in town (which is recommended).
The hotel is in a good location, just round the corner from the end of the main street where the town comes to life in the evening. The Reception staff are friendly, the pool guy rude, and restaurant staff okay. The rooms are fine but the bathrooms just okay. The pool is a reasonable size and shape but it couldn't be colder if it was based in Alaska (do they have it linked to their freezer units?). Breakfast is okay but nothing more. The bar is soulless and usually empty but why would anyone go there anyway when there is so much going on in town? Wifi is available across the hotel but service is pretty flakely and it is necessary to regularly ask them to re-set it when it reaches its (obviously too low) maximum capacity. The "fitness centre" they advertise (and was a main reason I chose the hotel) costs five euros a day and comprises a running machine, bike, (pointless) vibrating machine and a bench for doing sit-ups on. That's it! Completely useless. So, overall, the hotel is fine and well located but nothing special, a bit tired, rather souless and certainly not 5 Star. The big groups of senior-age Amercans seemed to enjoy it so I assume that it met all their needs. I'd stay there again for the location but not be particularly excited about the prospect.

Excellent location near town centre

Data di pubblicazione: 22-ago-2012 su Hotels.com
The staff at the hotel were very helpful. They would give us a ride in the golf cart when we returned after a long day of siteseeing. They were also very friendly and helpful in giving us directions. The one complaint about the rooms is that they are very noisy. You can hear everything that's going on in the hallway.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Conca Park between the 4th and 16th August 2012 on a bed and breakfast basis. The Hotel is conveniently located approximately a 5 minute walk to the main street that Corso Italia that runs through the heart of the small but bustling town, with a number of small side streets filled with quaint restaurants all serving delicious home cooked food. Our air conditioned room which was a godsend in temperatures close to 40c was immaculately cleaned everyday with changed towels. On booking we requested a room with a sea view. The room allocated to us was on the corner of the hotel with partial sea view which was fine and we happily accepted. I would advise requesting a sea view which is beautiful overlooking the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius as there are a number of rooms to the rear of the hotel with a view only of a cliff side permanently in the shade. The pool is a decent size with the surrounding area was clean and overseen by life guard all day long. One slight disappointment was that as the hotel is located next to a large cliff side, the pool area loses the sun around 5pm when sunset was not till 8pm with temperatures not dropping below 30c before 7pm. Service at the hotel is excellent, including drinks service around the pool. The breakfast is a typical buffet style with a variety of choice including cereals, breads, cheeses, bacon, eggs and an omelette station.
