“Well located for shops and both Exeter Main and St. Davids railway stations. My room was compact but well thought out and well equipped. It was great to have a light next to the bed which you could turn off/on easily and the shower was good. Breakfast was first class, beautifully served and coffee one of the best. I would have liked more savoury options for the breakfast but that is just a small preference. Host was really helpful and very welcoming. I would stay here again.”

“La struttura si trova in ottima posizione, a pochi minuti dalla Cattedrale, dalle vie con i negozi e dal lungofiume con diversi ristoranti. L’edificio ha un ristorante e un pub del quattordicesimo secolo. Le camere sono spaziose, confortevoli e pulite personale gentile e disponibile. Dispone poi di un ampio parcheggio sul retro”

“The hotel is looking a little worse for wear unfortunately and our room was particulary run down. The chair springs had gone and when I sat on it I practically sank through. That being said the room was clean. Only one hand towel for two people. The TV did not work well at all. The decor is very worn and the silicone around the toilet was grim and brown. The staff were always helpful and the hotel incredibly busy and well used. I hope it is going to be renovated at some stage.”

“Camera confortevole, non molto grande, ma buona per pochi giorni. La pulizia non era stata fatta alla perfezione al nostro arrivo, in più il frigo non era funzionante, ma dopo la nostra segnalazione è stato riparato. Nel complesso un buon soggiorno.”

“The kitchenette rooms are lovely and spacious with good facilities. Beds are huge and super comfy, TV was massive! Room was clean and quiet. Staff both at reception and at the breakfast were very friendly and made you feel at ease. Breakfast was especially good with lots of nice options, you don’t feel rushed to get in and out so you can really take your time in there. A lovely stay.”

We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. I called earlier in the day to confirm, and they gave me the lockbox location and code, but upon arrival by taxi (after midnight) there were no keys in the box, leaving us alone outside with no car.
