Nice friendly hotel close to restaurants and bars

Data di pubblicazione: 8-set-2014
I pro: Staff, comfort and location
I contro: Main bar "Brilliant" was a bit old fashioned and needs a face lift
Posizione: Location was very good for walking, shopping and eating out
My wife and I recently took a holiday in Shanghai, Tokyo and Beijing. During our time in Tokyo we stayed at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was very clean and comfortable with a variety of eating places contained within the building. The bar / lounge on the same level was a bit out of date (would have suited old men in blazers and cravats) but there were other bars on the top floors of the hotel. The location of the hotel was ideal for walking to shops, restaurants, bars and public transport. We would stay there again.

Close to downtown.

Data di pubblicazione: 31-ago-2014
I pro: Handy to lots of downtown activities. We were there to be handy to the Fuji Mountain Guides trip to Mt Fuji and found it a very nice place.
I contro: Wifi in the main tower was intermittent, couldn't hold a connection longer than a minute or two. Maddening.
Checked in and out and in and out and in and out. Smooth every time.

Nice hotel, very central

I contro: Pool area.
Great place to stay. We just used the room and pool (which we were disappointed that we had to pay extra for). Hotel is very convenient for Shinjuku station and area.

Keio plaza hotel is very easy to access. It has airport limousine bus and closed to subway. It has Japanese electronic store, pharmacy, restaurants, department stores,......... surrounding it. It is my fifth times to stay in Keio!

Pay to use pool

Data di pubblicazione: 31-lug-2014
Lovely hotel. Staff helpful, friendly. My daughter wasn't too well the first evening we got there and the duty manager was so accommodating and helpful. It costs ¥2000 per adult to use the pool each time. My daughter is 14months so we are only in the pool 30-40 minutes. Big price to pay I think.

3 Night Stay - Plaza Luxe Room (Couple)

Data di pubblicazione: 31-lug-2014
I pro: Location - close to the action of Shinjuku yet very quiet. Spacious room.
I contro: Charging guests to use the pool is a little ridiculous, especially given the price of staying at the hotel.
Posizione: 5 minute walk from eateries west of Shinjuku station. Would recommend staying at the hotel if you're looking to relax.
The hotel is situated on the quieter side of Shinjuku Station, and having stayed in the Kabukicho area of Shinjuku 2 weeks prior, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience. The Plaza Luxe room is a great size, nice and tidy. It is an easy 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station and right next to a subway station if that takes you to Roppongi. No issues with the hotel apart from having to pay to use the pool. I have never paid to use a pool at any hotel, but given it was a hot week in Japan we needed some relief!

Great hotel

I pro: The Chinese restaurant was amazing. The bar on the 45th floor was great also.
I contro: They charge for the swimming pool.
Posizione: Shinjuku station close-by.
Everything you need in one place, especially if you get a bit stuck with the language etc. You can also book coaches back to Narita Airport or Disneyland.

Ideal location

Data di pubblicazione: 22-lug-2014
We can recommend Keio Plaza Hotel, the staff were very courteous and helpful. We had a room on the 28th floor overlooking the Tokyo skyline. The room we had was newly refurbished, nicely decorated, clean and smart. There was a good selection of restaurants within the hotel but they could be expensive, but that applies to a lot of restaurants in Tokyo! It is a short walk from Shinjuku station and if its raining there is an underground walkway. Follow the signs for Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office and it will bring you out right next to the hotel.
