“Simple and cost efficient”

If you travel to Venice and are on a budget, this is the hotel for you. Located near Santa Lucia train station, this small and charming hotel provides relatively cheap rooms without loosing too many frills. The breakfast here is awesome and can't be beat!

“Great Hotel”

The hotel is convenient to the train, airport bus, and vaporetto--what more could you ask for? Would definitely go back. The only downside of the hotel is that the lift only goes to the third floor and my room was on the fourth floor.

“Good Hotel with friendly staff and good location”

We stayed for 4 nights in a triple room on the 2nd floor with ensuite bath and shower. As Hotels in Venice go, the Hotel was good value. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good. WiFi was available in the foyer and it was fast. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Grand Canal. It is only 5 mins walk from the Ferrovia (Railway station) and Piazzale Roma (Bus Terminus from Airport). It is easy to get Vaporettos (Water Bus) along the Grand Canal to St Mark's Square, which takes about 30 mins. There are various other sites on the way. Venice is not that big and we did manage to walk back from St Marks Square to the hotel in about 90 mins, however, we could probably have done it a lot quicker if we hadn't got lost in the winding streets and alleyways so many times, but that is part of the charm of Venice. Across the bridge on the Station side of the Grand Canal, there is a long street with souvenir shops and restaurants. We found that Brek, a self-service restaurant was a good value option. The other restaurants in Venice were very expensive, and it is easy to spend £60 on a meal for 3. The directions to the Hotel were rather misleading, but we found it in the end. I will email the Hotel with some better directions. Apart from that the only complaint was that the shower in the bath did not have a shower riser so you had to hold it over your head. Overall, I liked the Hotel and I would stay there again.

“Excellllent staff”

The reception staff and porter were helpful courteous and friendly, for local recommendations and more practical matters. The (twin) room was smallish but had all we wanted, especially a large bath, which I have never had before in Venice, usually just a shower. Bed linen was changed after 2 days, and there were plenty of towels. Breakfast (buffet) was good, including hot items. The hotel was 5 mins walk to the bus station and railway station, with a non-stopping service to Rialto, and a fast route to St Mark's round the south side of Venice, rather than an hour's snaking trip through the Grand Canal. Also very convenient for trips to the islands. I would definitely choose this hotel again.

“Great location, helpful staff”

The reception staff were particularly hepful in dealing with a numbers of queries that we had and nothing was too much trouble. The room was compact but perfectly adequate and located adjacent to the area where breakfast was taken.

“Basic hotel in a quiet location.”

This hotel met our needs, the staff was very nice , the beds were quite hard. It is very convenient to the train station and it is in a quiet location. The breakfast is the standard european style but with scrambled eggs and bacon.
