“Hotel Becher a Venezia: charme ed eleganza”

Hotel decisamente caratteristico, piccolo ed accogliente, situato in pieno centro di Venezia, gestito da personale disponibile e cortese.

“Affordable, great culture & canal views!”

Great little 3 star hotel, I have stayed in many big 5 star hotels around the world and this little 3 star was great. Large bathroom with all necessary facilities, plenty of storage room and nice sized bed. Pillows were a bit hard but that was about its only fault. Simple continental breakfast with juice and coffee which was good enough to fill the belly. Fantastic location as is around the corner from the main tourist shops, restaurants and sights. Close to the vaporetto (water taxi) so easy to get too and from places including Venezia Santa Lucia train station. The hotel had a very cosy, family feel about it and staff were polite and friendly. There are free tours out to the Murano glass factory (seperate island about 30min boat ride), where the hotel offers a free taxi too the island but you find your own way home (6.50 euro per person, easy vaporetto ride). The factory was pretty awesome, saw some glass blowing but he didn't make anything decent so that was a shame. Murano glass is A LOT cheaper to buy in Venice as opposed to Murano island...by a lot! Hard Rock Cafe around the corner from Hotel Becher which is always great fun and about 20 euro max per main meal with 10 euro cocktails! yummy!

“A gem in Venice”

Great hotel. Comfortable, clean, with an ideal location of minutes' walk to St. Mark's Square, restaurants and shopping; and a private pier for boats. Service was friendly and beyond expectation. For example, we left behind a scarf in the lobby after we checked out and left on a water taxi. The reception staff actually called the taxi driver, and walked across a few blocks on the back streets to other end of the canal loop to meet us to return the item! Complimentary breakfast was of very good quality. The only small problem with our stay was a malfunctioning shower door. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay.

Can't rate the hotel's position and staff highly enough, nothing was too much trouble. We actually downgraded our room for a canal view and were not disappointed!

The staff at the Becher were the most accommodating anywhere in Italy! Thanks to Massimo and his family for giving us a truly memorable experience in Venice. Visitors will not be disappointed.

They can't do enough for you! Charming, helpful staff, great location, super litte balcony on the canal where gondoliers pass and tenors sing. Not cheap but the essence of Venice

Typically small but quaint European style room. Good bed. Friendly and helpful staff.Not easy to find at first, like any other small hotel or any place else in Venice. Small patio right on canal, great for relaxing, having breakfast, or enjoying a glass of wine and a cigar at night. Within five minutes walk from St Marks square. In the heart of arty district, close to restaurants and bars.Can get to anywhere,e.g. Rialto,etc easily by foot. Overall a very pleasant hotel in a good location, at an average Venice price.

“Wonderful little hotel!”

We liked everything about this hotel. We enjoyed sitting on the portico overlooking the canal watching the gondola go by. Staff was very helpful.
