“Unremarkable but fine - comfy bed, great shower”

Hotel Byron is looking a little tired but I found it to be a pleasant stay. I liked the neighbourhood it was in - it was good to see normal Italian streetlife in contrast to the centre of Venice. It's in a quiet residential area. The bed was really comfy, the pillow good, the bathroom clean and the shower strong and hot. Breakfast was rather plain, perhaps a little drab but okay.

“Hotel Byron, good value stay”

We had two weeks at this Hotel and enjoyed it very much. The staff were very welcoming and helped out when we needed it. The hotel does need some updating but we were very pleased with it and thought it very good value. The breakfast is basic but nice - if you prefer to pig out on a full English then you will be disappointed! The room had a fridge which proved very useful for tea and snacks - we took a kettle! It was a 10 minute walk to the water bus stop so very convenient but off the main street so very quiet. We would return there and recommend Lido as a good base.

“Good service from staff. Hotel needs renovation”

Stayed for four nights, long weekend end of May 09. Asked to change room as there was smell from the bathroom's pipings. Room was also small and carpet looked rough and dirty. Sent to a room on the top floor the following day. It was better overall, slightly newer deco, clean new carpet, sea view from the balcony. Breakfast was adequate. We got what we paid for and weren't expecting great things having read many reviews. Best thing about the hotel were the staff which gave us some good tips about where best to hire a gondola (by the Bahuer Hotel or Rialto, NOT St Mark's square) and made enquiries aboutm lagoon trips for us.

“Quiet/beautiful surroundings”

It is located on Lido Island. the water bus stop to go to Venice Island is just 10-15min walk. 10min walk to the beach. very quiet and beautiful surroundings. room is clean as room amenities, there is no in-room safe, A/C, bathtub. staff is nice, but English is limited. especially, overnight front desk. do not ask for help. waste time- i just wanted to buy a bottle of water, he did not understand at all. overall, enjoyed stay.

Hotel vieillissant mais bon rapport qualité/pris par rapport à au lieu et à sa situation sur le Lido.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel. Wir waren begeistert. Zum Frühstück gibt es sogar frisches Obst. Dafür keine Eier und der Kaffee ist naja, es sei denn man bestellt extra einen guten von der Espressomaschine. Die Zimmer sind romantisch, hohe Decken, antikes Mobiliar schön restauriert und mit großen antiken Fenstern mit Holzläden. Die Badezimmer neu gemacht.

Ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Frühstück ist für deutsche Verhältnisse nicht so berauschend. Der Verkehrsanschluß nach Venedig ist gut.
