I booked a weekend stay there for my parents for my father's birthday. They stayed in this hotel in January 2007 and had a wonderful time and a wonderful room (at the time their room type was called a "classic double"). This time, however, they were put in room 151, which was on the mezzanine above the kitchen. Their impression was that it was a former utility room converted into a bedroom. It overlooked a narrow alley/passageway, with walls and pipes covered in pidgeon poop. Every now and then the smell of sewage would emanate from the walls (it wasn't coming from the bathroom). The AC wasn't working well, so they kept the window open because of the stench, but that meant smelling the massive kitchen exhaust and the bird poop! The floor was cold as it was bare stone, without as much as a little bedside rug. They didn't get the complimentary slippers or other comforts that they saw on the housekeeper's cart, but perhaps that isn't available for standard rooms. However the room they got was below par and certainly not up to a 4-star standard, but it's advertised and priced as a standard room (not some half-price cheapie). The hotel was fully booked that weekend, which is likely why they got stuck with that room. Needless to say, they are never coming back to this hotel again.

“Lovely stopover”

If you are looking for a night in Venice then the NH Manin has what you need. It is on the water-taxi route from the airport outside a bus stop. There is no distance to carry your cases. Our room was splendid and had a side view of the Canal. The breakfast in the garden is lovely too. If you have a fear of birds though - better to eat indoors. Easy to walk to all the sites. Very good overnight stop.

“Disappointing”

Reasonable location, pleasant staff. Room cramped but clean, adjacent to outdoor terrace and breakfast area resulting in too much noise and lack of privacy. Hotel facilities merely adequate. Would not wish to stay again and could not recommend. Overall, disappointing.

“Very Satisfied”

What a location ! What a hotel ! What an experience. Caught the Alilaguna Orange Line from Marco Polo airport which drops you off at the door of the hotel. The room overlooked the grand canal which is an experience in itself. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, the breakfast was the best we have had in Italy, and we've had quite a few. Overall an excellent holiday experience.

“Excellent hotel in Venice”

The NH Manin hotel was a perfect choice to stay in Venice. The hotel was excellent, and surpased our expectations. It is ideally located near to San Marco Square and the Rialto bridge. The breakfast was really good, with plenty of choice. Upon arriving we were given a twin room, although we had requested a double. When we mentioned this to reception we were given another room immediately and the staff could not have been more helpful. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone, and really hope to return again one day.

“Great Experience”

Everything was excellent! In a great location, you just need to take the vaporetto and one line drives you there instead a taxi.

“NH Manin; room with a view”

We booked a deluxe room for the weekend (fri-sun) for a reasonable price, but we got a room with canalview (202), which I think is normally more expensive! We had an early flight from Brussells to the Marco Polo airport and took the Vaporetto (orange line from Alilaguna; 1 hour trip) to the San Angelo stop in front of the hotel; ideal! So we were early in the hotel (10:00) and could leave our suitcases in the hotel and went into town. In the afternoon we got our key. The bell-boy brought our two small suitcases to our room. Room was big, big nice bed, couch, two chairs, small desk, flat TV, small cubboard with safe. Bathroom was moderate (toilet, bidet, one washdish, small bath with shower) with lots of packed goodies and everyday a new toiletpaper roll. Airco/heating was noisy; we switched it off. Minibar, but no coffee making facilities. Housecoat and slippers presented on the bed.. Room was on the frontside, so marvellous view to the Grand Canal and, when leaning out of the window, the Rialto bridge. Breakfast is plenty & good (even with Prosecco), but room is limited. When full you have to sit in a side-chamber. For the summer there is a garden.
