“I feel like home at the Humphreys”

The people at the humphreys are great people and they treat you like family. I know most of them since I stay at the Humphreys when I am in Winninpeg. This hotel is much quiter than the Fairmont. Amanada, Richard, and Leonard are all great to deal with and make the stay simple. I can not think of a better place to stay in winnipeg when the Humhreys has number 1 customer service.

“Great downtown location”

This hotel is in a great central location in downtown Winnipeg within walking distance to many attractions. In particular, the Forks is basically across the street from the hotel. Another perk is the full breakfast which is included. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

“convenient for downtown, The Forks and Via rail station”

Only a few hundred yards from the Via rail station. Convenient location by road. Walking distance to The Forks, museums, downtown malls. Staff were very helpful, looking after luggage and being flexible on late check-out. The room (looking out on to Main Street) was large and very comfortable, though there was traffic noise. We would definitley use this hotel again when in Winnipeg.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location was very convenient, close to many downtown attractions that were within walking distance. The staff was a little quiet and subdued, but not unfriendly.

“Nice Weekend Escape in Winnipeg”

A very nice clean modern hotel. The hotel features a small pool and hot tub, maybe not ideal for a family but very quiet. It is also close to a couple of great blues locals and not far from the baseball diamond if you are happening to take in a goldeyes game. Also just a short hike to Winnipegs MTS Centre if you want to take in a Winnipeg Jets Game. Go Jets Go.

“Hotel is nice but beware of vehicle breakins”

The hotel was nice, clean and the staff was friendly. The area, however, is not the best. The hotel parking lot has signs warning that it is a high break-in area and to remove all valuables from your vehicle. I removed everything from my vehicle to make breaking into my vehicle pointless. We stayed two nights and on the morning of my departure I discovered my vehicle had been broken into in the night and damaged as a result. The hotel has a security guard on duty but obviously he doesn't perform that duty very well. The hotel said "sorry" and nothing more. I would suggest staying at a hotel away from the downtown area. Someone in Winnipeg said that the hotels in the cities south end are safer. Also, when I filed a police report, they told me that when in Winnipeg they suggest you remove all valuables from your vehicle and leave it unlocked with a few dollars inside. That way the criminals can just open the door rather than breaking in and the few dollars will stop them from being upset about finding nothing and vandalizing it. Wow! Winnipeg left a sour taste in my mouth. I probably won't go back unless I have to. .

“Comfortable Hotel Near Downtown”

PROS Great beds. Great continental breakfast (bagels, muffins, fruit, juice, coffee, toast, eggs, etc.). Great location. Free parking. CONS Parking windshield ticket has warning about breakins to vehicles - which is concerning - but I was driving a brand new fully loaded Chrysler 300 and did not experience any issues so it may have been an isolated incident. Neighborhood does not seem very rough, but it is downtown and I guess that is the risk you run in any downtown core. Overall excellent hotel, extremely clean rooms, comfortable beds, great location.
