“Ottimo sotto tutti i punti di vista. Peccato la carenza d'informazione sul check-in. L'indirizzo dato è quello del check-in (altro lodge, non ricordo il nome) mentre la struttura si trova a ca. 1 miglio su un'altra strada.”

“Location ok, walking distance from black sand beach, not too far from the volcano. Is more an hotel apartment vs hotel. No services for breakfast, dinner, food, supermarket is 20min driving, reception close at 5pm We asked for a sea view room, but, we got a room in a very bad position.”

The house is well stocked with everything for cooking your own meals, family game night, and sleeping well after a day exploring the park. ”

“This entire experience was nothing short of amazing. At first I was apprehensive to live completely off the grid but after staying here I would definitely do it again. When we first arrived the host met us, gave us an entire tour of his property, including his beautiful animals as well as explaining what it’s like to live off grid. Made us feel right at home as if we had been friends a long time. The home was cozy, it does get a little cold so be prepared. The grill and fire pit was a nice touch...

“We absolutely loved this place! The yurts exceeded our expectations (which were high). They were spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated, extremely clean, and SO comfortable! The couches, beds, and pillows were so soft and cozy. Best night’s sleep we’ve ever had on vacation. The location was very private and quiet and beautiful. A perfect get-away. John was very friendly and nice and easy to work with. He was available to answer any question or help in any way needed. We only wish we had...

“Our stay at the Fern Studio was excellent. The hosts, Elaine and Carter, were so incredibly kind and very communicative. Providing instructions early prior to our arrival and gave us lots of tips while we were there. Especially for the National Park next door.”

“The resort community was great. It is sad to see abandoned golf resort buildings around the area. But the resort itself felt very safe. Despite no air conditioning, the combination of ocean breeze and ceiling fans were still great.”

“We had a lovely stay. The property was gorgeous. Lovely gardens and outdoor spaces. Inside had everything we needed and was so beautifully put together. Made us feel at home, away from home. There was even fruit and eggs for sale at the fruit stand. The host was super easy to communicate with. ”

“Unexpectedly wonderful. Book so we could be close to Volcano park and it was such a great size comfortable home. Per usual for vrbo the kitchen utensils were lacking, but not enough that it took away from our family time. Being only 8 minutes from the park we were able to watch the webcams and head to the park for a show. Blessed to see the volcano in action. Thank you!”

“The Volcano Home has a rugged sense of utility in its architecture, without losing a hint of homeliness or convenience. The area itself is quite rural, with gravel road crisscrossing dense rainforest. The hosts stock the kitchen, bath, and rooms with plenty of conveniences that might have been forgotten.”

“Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up.”

“What a lovely and cozy home away from home. So much time was spent on the lanai because being surrounded by all the lush vegetation felt like you were in a secluded forest, complete with all the sights and sounds. This place was the highlight of our time in Volcano. All the decorations were tasteful and I appreciated all the books on Hawaii. Such a lovely place. I hope to come back soon!”
