“The room was small but very clean and functional with a small balcony facing the harbor. The staff were great. Being a historical building it did not have elevators, but porters did all the transport of our luggage to and from the room and even to and from the ferry.”

“As expected this lodge is quite old. It is well taken care of with kind staff. The rooms were clean, I felt safe. There was a continental breakfast which had the items I needed. “Holiday Inn Express St. Ignace was pretty rough. We had a room on the first floor, which is technically like a walk-out basement. The room had a sliding glass door to the outside where a common firepit and chairs are situated. The lake and shore are right there which is nice. The room felt so shabby that we did not enjoy our stay. The edges of the carpet at corners and seams were frayed. The track to the sliding door was filthy. This hotel needs a refresh.”

“Loved the location of this hotel. Easy to walk to breakfast, dinner, sites and shopping. Loved the rocking chair front porch. The room was very nice. We got a king sized bed and it was very comfortable. Good use of space in a small room but plenty of room to move. Loved having a refrigerator. Get desserts across the street at the carriage house!
