“De kamer was dermate vuil dat het vasttapijt vol vlekken zat. Aan de kant van de venster was deze ook versleten. Er waren gaten dichtgemaakt in de muren zonder dit af te werken. De rooster in de badkamer was zeer vuil alsook de vensters. De kamer die op de website stond hebben we niet gekregen. Wel een aftandse vuile kamer. De shampoo was leeg. Dit hotel moet dringend onder handen genomen worden. De matras was goed.”

“It was lovely to be just 2 miles from Mendocino, with views of the Ocean and having a full cottage with kitchen and dining table. Fairly rustic, not luxury in any means but great value for the price. Careful, the Rose Garden cottage is not a 2 bedrooms cottage. It can sleep 4 but the entire space is open (bedroom has no door) and has large opening to the living room where the sofabed is for the other 2 guests.”

“We really enjoyed our stay, it was cozy and charming and close to everything Mendocino. The room was clean but some aspects felt outdated like peeling paint and stains on the carpets. We would definitely stay again!”

“Our stay was very pleasant but not exceptional. The nightly appetizers were appreciated but I would rename them “small bites”. I would have appreciated knowing more about the wines we were poured other than red or white. The breakfast every morning was wonderful! I would have enjoyed coffee before 8 AM. Maybe a Keurig in the room? Overall my husband and I enjoyed our stay but I expected more for the amount of money we spent.”

“We were unable to check in at six pm it was closed a note with the room name and my name was on the door which had a combination lock no number for entry no cell service no internet we asked the room next door for help they told us to go to office ! We drove back 150 miles to San Francisco our vacation ruined.”

“We had a great stay. Quiet, beautiful area a block away from shops and dining. The property was pristine and very nice rooms. The Continental breakfast was a step above the normal, especially the pastries and coffee from a local bakery. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.”

“Beautiful property. The staff were so friendly and absolutely amazing! They provided outstanding hospitality with a personal touch! My fiancé and I absolutely loved the amenities- our favorite thing might have been relaxing each night in front of the fireplace in our room after a soak in the hot tub. Also, the donkeys were very cute 😁”

“My experience at Mendo Bungalows was nice. I liked the size of the cabins and the location was closest in town to the wedding venue which was in the forest. It was a good value in my opinion for having an ocean view as well. The bed was cozy and the rooms were clean. I liked the fireplace and tv. Parking was plentiful. There was some sort of bird cooing in a nest somewhere above us which was kinda funny, but not a problem for us. Just nature I guess! Overall I would stay here again. 4 stars...

“Would have been very useful to.know that adjustments to the breakfast (e.g. vegetarian, decaf coffee) needed to be made before 6pm. Other places we've stayed in with similar in-room breakfast delivery have been much more flexible.”

“This is the most amazing place! The food is divine, breakfast was brought to our room each morning after submitting our order, we each had a california eggs benedict, pastries, parfaits and fresh coffee. The beach is 5 minutes walk from your room. The garden is stunning! Dinner was incredibly delicious and the setting so romantic and beautiful. Highly highly recommend Elk Cove Inn we will be coming back again! ”

La proprietaria è una signora di squisita gentilezza, estremamente cortese e disponibile. Leggermente defilata dalla strada principale ma a tre minuti da bar e negozi garantisce un sonno tranquillissimo al riparo da qualunque rumore. I locali non sono climatizzati...

“My husband, dog, and I stayed at Mendocino Cove during their soft opening in June 2026. The property was so peaceful, pet-friendly, and extremely clean. It was a little zen oasis between Fort Bragg and Mendocino. It was so convenient to have to have pickleball courts to play at anytime, and the private beach was an absolute gem.
