“Room was clean & with lovely furnishings. Staff were excellent, friendly & helpful. Good choice for breakfast, eggs royale was lovely. Our dogs were welcomed & catered for. Some lovely sitting areas with comfy seats. A lovely place to stay with good amenities. Recommended.”

“Paid for a suite , room itself was lovely and large , beautiful bathroom. When we arrived at the room in the afternoon all the bedroom curtains were closed , including the ones to the outdoor balcony. Once we opened them we realised why …… a massive building project , scaffolding etc literally metres away from our room , so much for the garden view . Room was looking a bit tired cosmetically but still lovely , house keeping must only clean from eye level down as when I got into bed the ceiling...

“Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay.”

“The food was excellent; the pate and risotto were delicious. The staff were exceedingly helpful and efficient. Breakfast was Italian and consequently had interesting choices which were very fresh, filling and beautifully presented. The property has EV charging which was one of the reasons we chose it. The room was lovely and comfortable (especially the pillows) with a good size bathroom and nice toiletries. The fresh milk was a welcome addition to the tea/coffee making facilities. Ripon is an...
