“We chose this hotel for its convenient location within walking distance of a concert hall, restaurants, and shops, and importantly, for its self-parking option. Self-parking in downtown is surprisingly hard to find, so that was a big plus. The hotel is older and on the smaller side, but well maintained. The one area that could use more attention is the edges of the walls and glass doors in the bathroom, which needed a more thorough cleaning. One unexpected surprise: there is no in-room coffee...

“The bar closes at 10. The restaurant won't seat you without a "reservation" even though it's half empty. They probably have a staff shortage but won't admit it. Lobby tables left un-bussed. We had to do it ourselves. Room service, vacuums, etc are left in the hall for multiple days, let alone hours. And those nice, clear shower doors? Accumulated soap scum from previous guests. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet, which was the most important. Overall, a disappointing experience.”

“The hotel was conveniently placed for an event at the Redd. It was also easy to walk the bridge to downtown. The hotel lobby is bright, clean and easy to relax on. The rooms were poorly designed. No sink in the bathroom. Just awkward. The sound proofing was unreal, luckily it wasn't busy during our stay but you could clearly hear everything in the hall way outside our door. “Such a bummer that we expected an amazing visit to the Hoxton but were disappointed by the uncomfortable bedding, slow WiFi and lacking room amenities. The room really needed somewhere we could put our luggage and I had to request a luggage stand from the front desk. In the age of gigabit Internet the Hoxton choose to allocate barely 10 Mb/s (I tested a few times) to our room which doesn't properly support streaming. But the real problem was the low bed frame, uncomfortable mattress (too soft)...
