“The A/C worked well and was quiet. The beds are very uncomfortable. Our toilet lever didn't work. We unpacked and pulled out the couch bed, got all situated before we discovered the toilet. Since it was a Sunday, there was no maintenance available to fix it. The only remedy was to change rooms, which they offered. But, with 3 small kids and already all unpacked and one kid was asleep on the bed, we stayed. Had to take off the top of the back of the stool and put out hand in the water to manually...

“Very clean despite how busy they were. Stayed during the World Cup games, but the place was still very clean. It helps that it looks like it’s a newer hotel.”

“No microwave was astonishing. No ice machine on the floor was also a problem (waited 20 mins for ice from reception). Bed is definitely outdated and uncomfortable. Disappointing that nothing was complimentary (I guess the ice and soap were). The bathroom and shower were great. Soaps were great. We loved the silence. The staffs energy and optimism could improve as well.”

“The hosts were great. We arrived in the city early and they allowed us to keep our luggage there during the day until check-in. The host had brought our bags up to the room. When we checked in, we were given a very welcoming tour of the house and orientation. The house is very centrally located close to shopping, Union Station, restaurants, and the streetcar. “Great location and this is my favorite Kansas City hotel but i didn’t get a shower cap because a hospitality kit was not provided. There wasn’t a coffee machine or kettle provided, though I asked twice at the reception. No mugs either. And room service was skipped for almost 2 days until I asked. We ran out of soap and toilet paper.”

“The Aida is a beautiful boutique hotel. It is close to the KC streetcar & the art museums. It is well maintained, the rooms are spacious & the staff is very helpful. Cookie treats & fruit are provided as well as Expresso coffee. Regular coffee would be a nice addition.”

“The location was excellent. It was within walking distance to the plaza metro ( I travelled to watch the world cup game, and the shuttle service leaves from the plaza). The hotel however is old and despite being in a non-smoking room, I could still smell cigarettes from outside.”

“My husband, daughter, and I had a very nice stay here. The hotel was clean, and the pool and fitness room were nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to Country Club Plaza, which is a nice area for shopping/dining and access to transit.”
