“The check-in process was smooth and great. João was really helpful and available to give us all needed information for our stay. The place was clean, well equipped and had a wonderful view of the Douro valley. We really enjoyed our stay and I think this wonderful house added to our enjoyment of Portugal as a whole.”

“Two couples stayed two nights at the property. We had a busy schedule so we didn't have as much time as we would have liked to enjoy the nice rooftop deck. Free public parking was available a couple of blocks away and restaurants were a short walk. The home was clean with comfortable beds. We would stay here again!”

“Our experience at Marcus’s house was perfect. The house is beautiful - a mix of old and new that has so much character. The pictures don’t do it justice, it is decorated tastefully in a classic manner but the important things are v new. The bathrooms are extremely clean and modern from a fixtures perspective. The water pressure and temp is wonderful. Also almost every bedroom has en suite bathrooms in addition to the common bathrooms so it feels almost like a hotel in that sense. The kitchen...

“The area was gorgeous and the view could not be beat. We made fresh orange juice and lemonade from the citrus trees, walked in the vineyard and cork forest, and enjoyed the quiet. The downside was the drive- it was a bit far from town and needs to be driven in daylight- do not attempt at night (single lane, tight curves, no guardrails, very rural). The house was spacious but could use some upgrades.”
