“Lovely Hotel at the top of Rye close to the church and the castle. Staff were friendly and helpful the breakfast was excellent with a large choice of items from continental and cooked food avaliiable plus hot drinks or juices.Our room was clean and comfortable perfect for our long weekend stay. I would highly recommend this Hotel.”

“Good choice for breakfast”

“Stayed for three nights over Xmas. The walk from the pub to the accommodation was across a muddy unpaved carpark. Access to the room was via a combination door lock and privacy in the room afforded by blinds at the door ,room windows. Unfortunately there was no internal lock on the door and gaps in the blinds afforded a view into the room from outside. The room was cold on arrival and took hours to warm up. “Communication with host was poor. No information on check in procedure. No information on which room we had booked.No key in key safe.We only gained access due to a helpful fellow resident, who let us in and helped us find a free room.Room poorly maintained with curtains held up by string and blinds broken.Altogether very poor”

“Margaret was incredibly helpful in providing suggestions on how to navigate the city and provided excellent suggestions for restaurants. The morning breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was very spacious, the couch was very comfortable and the bed was fantastic. After a full day of walking around Dover, this was a very special retreat. The views are just amazing. We will plan a trip to spend more time with Margaret.”
