“The staff was incredibly kind, they even arranged a small breakfast to take away for us when they knew we had to check out too early to get it in the hotel. The place is conveniently located a few minutes from the lake and many bike rental shops, and it has a great zen vibe with industrial design. Only suggestion is to make some stronger separation between the room and the bathroom, since as it is now it is basically all an open space. ”

“Our stay at the Sun Moon Tea Hotel was perfect. The entire hotel was spotless and very quiet. Our host was slso very friendly and replied promptly to all my questions prior to our arrival. During our stay, she was also very helpful with suggestions and information. We were upgraded to a suite and the suite was amazing. I would book here again without hesitation.”

“After spending some days in Hong Kong and Taipei, it felt wonderful to stay at Butchards Villa, so quiet and beautiful. It is really an oasis. We were welcomed by Melissa the receptionist, she was so sweet, we were offered fruit, waffles and coffee free of charge. Our room was very big, nice bath, overlooking the front off the hotel. Strongly recommend this room! We had dinner at the hotel, food was also good.Since we had some trouble with a wrong booking after our visit in the Sun Moon Lake...

“Not only the room is clean, it’s creatively designed and decorated. There’s also a garden with koi fish pond and Totoro-themed decorations throughout. In addition, it’s walking distance to the bus station and 7-11, a true gem in the world of hostels.”

“This was by far the best place I have stayed in Taiwan while living here for 2 months. The staff goes above and beyond, and they are some of the r kindest and sweetest people we have met. They helped us with the bus schedule, brought us breakfast to our room, and even picked us up from Yuchi when there were no other busses to get back. We are so grateful for them and would stay with them again in a heartbeat.”
