Panoramica
Fuga per The Lookout e scopri il selvaggio west della penisola di Dingle. Una bella casa fuori dai sentieri battuti che domina Smerwick Harbour in tutto il suo splendore con magnifiche vedute dell'Atlantico, del Monte Brandon e infinite sabbie bianche. Con tre camere da letto, tre bagni e due saloni ha un sacco di spazio per rilassarsi tra cui un balcone di vetro perfetto per un caffè mattutino o un tramonto mentre si prende il ritmo dell'oceano. Pet Friendly e un paradiso per escursionisti con le Tre Sorelle, Sibeal Head e la spiaggia di Béal Bán tutte raggiungibili a piedi dalla casa.
Camere da letto
Il belvedere ha una grande camera da letto familiare con un bagno privato, un letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo. La camera da letto principale ha un favoloso guardaroba walk-in, un bizzarro bagno privato e un balcone accessibile da due portefinestre. Le due camere da letto al piano superiore hanno finestre velux, quindi sono piene di luce naturale e di nuovo viste epiche. Al piano inferiore accanto al bagno di famiglia c'è una camera doppia arredata con gusto.

Ci sono tre bagni. Al piano inferiore si trova un bagno di famiglia con vasca / doccia, lavandino, WC e deposito. Al piano superiore ci sono due ensuites adiacenti alle due camere da letto entrambe con doccia, lavandino e wc.
Zona giorno
The Lookout ha un ampio salone al piano inferiore con una stufa a legna, una finestra a golfo e portefinestre che si aprono sul giardino con vista sul mare. C'è anche un'area accogliente al piano superiore con un divano ad angolo e una lampada da lettura per dare a tutti uno spazio per rilassarsi.
Cucina e zona pranzo
Una cucina artigianale unica con piani di lavoro in noce e dettagli raffinati. C'è un frigorifero con congelatore, forno, piano cottura elettrico, forno a microonde, bollitore, tostapane e stoviglie fatte a mano Dingle. C'è un ripostiglio separato con lavatrice e spazio aggiuntivo. La cucina conduce ad una sala da pranzo separata con porte francesi che conducono al giardino e alla panca da picnic. Anche la moderna sala da pranzo è fatta a mano qui sulla penisola.

Stunning rural escape

Not easy to get to but if you cherish a truly rural experience, this is it. Right on the water, cows and sheep surrounding, bird song, clover-scented fresh air. House is roomy, not as “glam” as advert suggests. Low furniture, hard chairs. Glorious views.

Great place to get away from it all!

What a charming cottage that looks out over the water. It is 27 minutes away from Dingle proper, but there is a lovely little village about 8 minutes away. You are surrounded by sheep and cattle. It’s a wonderful hideaway. We loved every second.

Gorgeous location!

We were very happy with our stay at the Lookout and if we ever come back to Dingle we would love to stay there again. The Lookout offers spectacular mountain and sea views from almost every room. The house is lovely, spacious, comfortable and well kept. We found the beds comfortable. Our host Rosie, was helpful, friendly and responsive. My only complaint was that our stay was too short! 10 out of 10!

Stunning location and views!

This property is fantastic. Exactly as pictured- stunning views (especially from two bedrooms on second level) and spectacular location. Extermely private. Great place to walk or bike from. Massive, gorgeous beach is only a 15-minute (1km) walk. Need a car for groceries and touring. Taxis are available for night-time forays into Dingle, but you must prearrange. The host is super responsive. The kitchen is minimally fitted out, but there is everything you need. Appliances all worked great. Note- no dryer but there is a clothes line.

The Lookout

After encountering some connection issues, Simon worked hard to ensure we had the information we needed to access the property. A stressful situation was soon forgotten when we arrived to the peace and quiet of the home. We listened to the waves crash under a full moon and woke up to the most magical views.

Really very nice, quiet, comfortable, relaxing place

The Lookout is really very much what we were looking for. We wanted a place that was out of the way, with a great water view, where we could relax in comfort. Our expectations were met. The place was comfortable and well-appointed. The beds were a little smaller than we are accustomed to, but comfortable enough. The kitchen had just about everything we needed. The location is remote but really great. There are a few restaurants/pubs and one small grocery shop in Ballyferriter (5 minutes drive away) and much more in Dingle (25 minutes drive away). Be prepared for the single lane roads as you approach the lookout...it does take a short time to learn the etiquette of how to pass on the narrow roads. The house itself is located amidst farms, with sheep and cows close by the house, but no negative consequences of their presence...and we loved listening to the "conversations" among the sheep. There are hikes available to the cliffs above the house, although you've got to find them a bit. A trip around the peninsula is an easy and pleasant drive...once you're used to the narrow roads. The place is in really great condition...a little additional upkeep/maintenance would raise the level even further. We really enjoyed it.

Stunning location, spacious house

The property is in a stunning location. It's beautiful, peaceful and a very relaxing place to stay. The house is spacious and has everything you need. The welcome basket is a nice touch, thank you and the log for the wood burner. My only comment is that the mattresses weren't very comfy, so perhaps an upgrade is due. We did have an issue with the boiler while we were staying but it was dealt with very quickly and effectively. The local stay YNA host was great. Overall a fantastic holiday and I would recommend this property.

Beautiful Home! But Covid 19 Prohibited Staying

We had the joy of staying at this property in 2019 and so looked forward to staying again. However, due to Covid, our flight was cancelled and we were not able to come - even though some restrictions began to lift, our trip was cancelled. We hope to stay here in the future.

Not very comfortable

I loved the location, it's peaceful and beautiful. While online it says Brandon the house is actually in Smerwick which I wish I'd known, but not the biggest deal. It was clean, and the kitchen was nice to use as well. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is as follows: 1-Star was lost due to the beds, which need to be replaced, they are just subpar, to say the least. We ended up leaving one day early because we just couldn't deal with sleeping another night in the beds. .5 Star lost because of the overall comfort of the home, to mention just one example: the dining room table, albeit nice, is too short for the chairs so it's impossible to sit at the table and eat. We had to eat most meals either at the kitchen bar or in another room which was not ideal. .5 star lost for the Wi-fi . While we stayed at the home the wifi was cut off one night due to a non-payment of a bill. While I messaged the manager early in the day about this issue (as per the instructions) the following day he didn't get back to me and I had to end up calling him about it. While it was eventually fixed, we were working from the location so it was a big inconvenience that the Wi-fi was not working for nearly 24 hours. Finally, I also feel we were asked to do too much cleaning before we left. While the place was in no way a mess- we were there for a week, having to go around and empty all of the bins, take things to the shed, load up the dishwasher etc or face a higher fee seems silly. We paid for a cleaning service with our booking fee this shouldn't be required when leaving a property.

Great location, lovely setting - but not a comfortable house

Hard to beat the location and setting, but we left with an uncomfortable feeling about the house. It seemed more like a commercial operation than a house that someone had lived in. Amenities were minimal and kitchen provisions non-existent: no salt, no cooking oil - just a basket of sweets and nuts. Not what you need coming in the first night from a long drive. Beds were lumpy and there were little annoying things like nothing firm to hold onto stepping in and out of the tub shower. We loved the area wishing we could stay longer, but with no wish to linger in the house.

Once again a wonderful visit to Ballyferriter

The house was excellent, location is what I prefer, very remote. Jack the Mgr was in regular contact and a great guy. Hard to find a better location for hiking trails and views, but this area is filled with wonderful trails and just about 15 minutes outside Dingle. Looking forward to my 5th trip back in the future. Thank you.

A magical place!

From the family room, the dining room and the master bedroom, there are incredible views of Smerwick harbor and the mountains of dingle. Directly to the north are the three sisters mountain range. This is off the beaten path, but well worth it. We could just sit outside and see heaven all around us. At night the quiet was stunning and only disturbed by the bleating of sheep or the mooing of a cow The house is perfect and extremely well done. We felt totally comfortable and at ease. A bargain at twice the price

Relaxing

Beautiful homes tucked out in the Irish countryside, loved the views and the sound of the sheep in the mornings, well equipped kitchen, House was spotless, comfortable beds. Had some trouble finding the place after a long drive and the neighbors were told to watch for us, so very helpful in helping us find our way.

Everything was perfect!!

Exceeds my expectation. The place was impeccably clean, loved the layout of the house and the skylights provides spectacular views for every room in the house of either the bay and the 3 Sisters mountains, lots of natural lighting, quiet area, and close proximity to all the spectacular points on the Slea Head Loop Drive. Will dream about going back.... Check in and Check out was very easy. Clodagh was very attentive, she supplied us with some bread, milk, eggs, cheese and coffee/tea to start out.
