“We stayed in Cottage A as a family of 6. It is a very beautiful cottage and it was set up with a beautiful Christmas tree. The host was very friendly and helpful, and had the fire in the living room set up burning already, and the hot tun already set up ready to go. It was very clean and everything is very modern and just beautiful. Unfortunately we didnt get to spend much time admiring the views because it was raining a and very windy/ cold. Without the kids we could have done more exploring...

“Overall a good experience but we had to change room in the middle of the nigth. Nothing to complain about the first but around midnight we discovered that the hotel also has a music bar and the room was just above it. We complained and were moved to another room. So happy end despite of the inconvenience. Since music is made every week end, it would be nice not to give out those rooms when others are available. Everything else was good: cleanliness, breakfast, parking.”

“This house is beautifully situated for views of the Mourne Mountains. The breakfast was very good and there is a lot of parking space. The place is clean. They just go into your room if you are staying for more than 4 days. You can, however, request for room service if you want it. We got our bins emptied and got fresh towels. They were very willing to help us. ”

“Just a lovely spot, 5 minutes driving from town and the shore in Newcastle, 15 or so to some great hiking trails. Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to go back. Seems to be a holiday spot for the Irish and those from the UK, not...

“Main standout quality of this hotel is it’s location. Beautiful views of The Mournes and very well maintained gardens. Also ample car parking space. If you want a quiet place to escape then this is it. Very attentive staff and excellent food. “Myself and my partner only stayed for one night. The cabin was very clean and cosy with everything we needed for our short break. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent, things that not all places we have stayed get right. We used it as a stop off on our trip to photograph the mountains and surrounding areas, this was the perfect stop off for what we wanted. Thank you for the stay, it made our break, we will definitely be booking again.”
