“Booked for one night but ended up staying a day longer. Charming tiny hotel in a popular strip. The location is right off the main road with plenty of dining options nearby. Direct view of the Indian ocean from the bed in the mornings and evening is breathtaking. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Request for a "devilled chicken" to have with a cold Lion beer. “We stayed for three nights with our 1 year old baby. The staff are excellent, so welcoming, and attentive and really enjoyed playing with our son. We had a sea view room, the view is beautiful, and the bathroom and shower were excellent - you can see the sea from the shower! The staff provided a lovely wooden cot which was perfect for our son. The cot fit next to the bed and the bed’s mosquito net covered the cot. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were very accommodating of our child’s needs....

“Appena arrivati ci hanno accolto è sistemato nella nostra camera. Personale gentilissimo e camera molto spaziosa e curata con un bellissimo bagno e un terrazzo che dava sul giardino. La spiaggia era letteralmente a 50 metri. Fantastiche le colazioni sulla terrazza, abbondanti e squisite. Mirissa Beach a 5 minuti di cammino o un minuto scarso di tuk tuk. Lo consiglio vivamente.”

“We really enjoyed the night we stayed here. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The room was comfortable and spacious and we slept well. It was a bit old and rough around the edges, and the price was a bit high, but we spent 2 weeks around Sri Lanka and that was more or less par for the course -- Seastar was well worth it for the beautiful view and direct access to the beach. Desk staff were always more than helpful and made the stay really easy and enjoyable.”

“We were greeted with a delicious welcome juice and a cold towel. Check in was speedy, bags were promptly delivered to our room and the room itself was spacious, cool and with a nice view. The hotel provides towels for the beach as well as the pool and the breakfast was a good spread with an egg station. All staff were friendly and calm. Coconut tree hill is a very short walk and mirissa beach was 200lrk in a tuk tuk but was also walkable. Would definitely stay again”

“Nos encantó como estaba mimetizado con el entorno. Estás en plena naturaleza, pero con todas las comodidades. A nivel de diseño, nos encantó la arquitectura y la decoración del complejo. Había variedad de platos y bebidas, todo buenísimo. Hay oferta de actividades muy interesantes. La comunicación con el personal es fácil y cómoda. Es el lugar ideal para relajarse. “This hotel is one of a kind, the staff is incredible, the views out of this world! The room was honestly my favourite of any place I’ve stayed in all my travels. Clearly next level design and architecture in a very subtle and tasteful way. The spa treatment was wonderful and the cooking class under the banyan tree was magical. I wish I had stayed longer and definitely will next time I am back. I can’t express how fantastic this hotel is thank you for making us feel like home ❤️”

“At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there.”

“This is a newer property in Unawatuna so I was hesitant. But this place was phenomenal. The room was so nice, very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay, including a small kitchen and even a washer. It's close enough to all the local attractions, but located just far enough away from the main road to be very quiet. Good restaurant options nearby, 24 hour pool, and 25 hour security. Wifi is fast and the AC works great. The only thing that would improve this place would be if breakfast...
