“The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming!”

“This place looks fun and shiny. Don’t look too close cause you can see the age. The floors are thin. People were walking overhead all night and highway is loud. Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel with no one overhead. This was Best western at its best.”

“We stayed here one year ago and all was good but on this trip we were given a room with a foul odor that smelled like wet carpet. The towels and wash cloths still looked dirty and the TV didn’t work. Thankfully there was other rooms available and the staff was more than helpful to give us another room. The only other issue was that the breakfast was not good at all and food that should have been kept warm was cold. We probably will not be back to this location again.”

“Bad breakfast. Out of coffee regularly. Ice macine broken. People were smoking in building- wouldn't stay there again for that reason alone”

“The room was clean, bed comfortable, parking right in front of door, plenty of outlets for electronics, and quiet.”

“As always, the Lake Lure Inn was a delight. They used to have continental breakfast but weren’t offering during this stay. Always enjoyed the continental breakfast and it added value to the many stays there. We look forward to its return. In its absence we thoroughly enjoyed delicious breakfasts at a fairly new restaurant called The 828.”

“Everything was great. Our family had a great stay. The one aspect that gave us pause was there’s a barn/sliding door for the bathroom. Having a door that closed would have been preferable. =0)”

“The room was very clean. The Breakfast was very well done. Was a great place for our 2 dogs. They had a very nice secluded grassy area for the dogs. And the staff did a great job of emptying the dog poo bins! People seemed to clean up after their dogs as well. Was very close to downtown, only a couple miles, so convenient. Had just been remodeled, and it was very nice and clean.”

“Friendly staff. Very helpful. Rooms were large with NO carpet which lends to cleaner rooms. Breakfast was ok but could have offered healthier choices. I would stay there again. Convenient to highway and attractions.”

“Quiet, peaceful place, our deck felt like we were in a treehouse. Outstanding hosts, cabin was cozy but plenty of room for the two of us. Definitely a do-again.”

“Room was nice, large, and clean with pretty mountain & pool view as described. Wish lounge stayed open past 9pm and didn’t smell like smoke.”
