“An historic inn with nicely updated rooms. Excellent shower, large room and the most comfortable bed I have slept in so far on this 3 month trip. Beer in the bar is great with a good selection of wines. Food was good with some interesting Lebanese style dishes. Very quiet and I would highly recommend this inn. ”

“Hotel rooms let this holiday inn down the staff are very attentive, the room was clean, the bed is very uncomfortable, the pillows lumpy and the air con didn’t seem to be working, very disappointed as we have stayed holiday inns all over the country, this has been the worst”

“Clean room nicely appointed. Quaint bar with wood fire and good selection of drinks including local ales. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was cereals and breakfast sandwiches (bacon, eggs etc) . Would stay again if in that area.”

“4 star Hotel close to the Hospital in Basingstoke. Pool and Gym Service (if u pick up wrong time pool is full of old English ladies). Rooms are ok, nothing special, needs to be renovated. Bar is pricey for the location and hotel general condition. Recommend for quick customer visit at the hospital.”

“The food was excellent - both breakfast and evening meal. Full fresh cooked breakfast included in the cost of the room. Proper Americano coffee served at no extra cost with breakfast! I had a glass of champagne with the evening meal and it was chilled, bubbly and perfect. ”

“The bedroom is clean, sheets and mattress are comfy. The bathroom was dirty, there were fake tan marks on the walls and shower curtain. There was black hairs on the bath when I arrived. The shower has been installed too low, to the point an average sized person would need to crouch down to wash their hair. The shower head was also broken and didnt hold the position. ”
