“Really friendly staff (especially the breakfast lady!) and a great location. I probably should have researched first to spot live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. That wasn’t that much of an issue as over by 22.30 (both bands were pretty good to be fair) but the rowdy hen party on Saturday kept us awake long after the band had finished. ”

“Excellent stay. Great staff, very helpful, polite and really couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel was in a great location. Superb views, very clean and well presented throughout. The spa and treatment rooms were again exceptional. Breakfast was a continental style. Again, no food issues. Note: you do have to pay extra for an English breakfast etc….. Overall great value for money and would recommend. I’m sure we will return.”

“We had the most amazing stay at gara rock . The place is beautiful and set in amazing beachside settings with breathtaking views. Everything is exceptional, the hotel, the setting, the food and the staff. They really made the stay fantastic as they went above and beyond to accommodate you and make sure you have the best stay. They were so friendly and helpful every single one of them. We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be returning! ”

“Beautiful B&B on a hill, but walkable to the bay and wharf and many dining options. The Bay Area is a little tacky with pin ball, casinos bars etc, but we had a very nice dinner at a spot called “Local” and it was walking distance to our lodging.”

“Beautiful pub opposite a babbling brook. So pretty. Made welcome from the start. Lovely double room with all you need. Great breakfast that sets you up for the day and ate there each of our four evenings. Food very good. Would highly recommend so long as you are happy to drive down very narrow country lanes and reversing back every so often as they are one vehicle roads. Part of being in the country as is being woken by the bleating sheep, quaking ducks and flying geese. Loved it. ”

The restaurant served superb steaks cooked on their charcoal grill. thank you Mark and Emily and all the staff. “Very nice staff and guests; clean, historic accomodations overlooking the inner harbor. Less than ideal parking for luggage transfer, but truly as good as it gets in Brixham harbor area.”

Very comfortable night’s sleep, with no disturbance from patrons at the bar (and the quiz night, which happened during my stay). I was unable to connect to internet (despite help from staff).
