“Very pleasant and convenient place to stay. We really enjoyed Benicia and hope to be back.”

“We loved the Union. It wasn't our first time there and it never disappoints. We had the largest room on the 3rd floor with a 180 degree view and amazing original furniture from the early 1900s. The only small complaint is that the king sized bed could use a new mattress. We didn't sleep well because it was pretty bad, but don't let this discourage you from staying there. Maybe they will read this and put a new mattress on the bed. :)”

“Clean, comfortable, and everything in good order. Lobby doesn’t open until 7am (I was told 6am) but I appreciated the good coffee & half&half. Nice touch - no powdered creamer! There were some really minor issues in the room but overall they’re negligible. Thanks.”

“Hotel has a nice feel to it with pine trees surrounding it. It can be a little bit noisy with traffic from the freeway nearby. But I never heard anybody in rooms next to me or any other real noise at all. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed could use an upgrade although I slept well. Breakfast was nothing special but good enough. Parking is free and easy. I would definitely stay here again!!”

“I am really unhappy with how my family was treated. I came in for one night stay and they cancelled my reservation that I booked a month in advance. When I talked to AJ (front desk) he said “sorry I had to cancel your reservation because I have only one housekeeper today”. My little girl was so excited to stay but we had to tell her that he cancelled our room. Never have I been treated so badly. He even said we had another room but didn’t even offer to try to accommodate us. Just said sorry we...

“The hotel is clean, quite far from San Francisco, and has few dining options nearby. The rooms were large but, despite the double glazing, too noisy if facing the road. Breakfast was very poor no matter what time you arrived. The water pressure in both the sink and the shower was very low. Not recommended for more than one night.”

“The room did have a Musty smell, not saying it wasn't clean but the odor was like the room had been not aired out in a while. or they need to shampoo the carpet. Bathroom was clean and kitchen area was clean. but for 150.00 a night I did expect a little better, than musty smelling room but over all I give it a 3.5 stars out of 5.”

“The lampshade was broken in a few places wouldn’t stay upright. The bedspread had a stain and was torn. There were many flies in the room. Dead roaches on the floor. TV had to be turned on by staff, if turned off then on again no reception. Towels very small, no bath size towels. Bed had sheet but no mattress cover, uncomfy. Room smelled like smoke even though I requested non smoking. Nothing was maintained-all very low standard. Did have frig & microwave I didn’t try or use.”
