“I always feel comfortable and well cared for at Chinyonga House. I will return there each time I visit Malawi. The staff is very nice and can help you arrange transportation. The dining area can accommodate business partners or friends if you would like to invite someone to diner. It is very close to the Museum of Malawi and regional shopping districts. The guest house is also near a bus stop if you would like to visit the Malawi University of Science and Technology. ”

“Large room, new furniture. Bathroom fully functional, but outdated. Balcony with view over lush garden and pool. Historic building. Nice and helpful staff. Excellent dinner, Indian, but also steak and other standards at highish prices. Large choice of breakfast options, but nothing special here. Nice bakery in the house. Will come again. ”

“If you're looking for modern conveniences like air conditioning, wifi, great service, and nice rooms, this is Blantyre's best hotel by far. The staff was incredible - it made me realize that Malawi can have a real five star tourism industry if it wants to. Mwai at the front desk is exceptional, as is the manager of the breakfast buffet (short young Malawian woman) and all of the concierge, cleaning, restaurant, and garage staff. “Apparently the property has recently changed ownership, but this was not apparent in any way. Everyone was very welcoming, the food was excellent, the room spacious and tidy. The gardens offer a good place to sit and relax, and were in good condition given that it was towards the end of the dry season. I recommend the Leslie and would stay there again.”
