“Ideally placed for the New Forest, Southampton and Bournemouth, we stayed 1 night while visiting the New Forest. We were made to feel welcome, which instantly made us relaxed. The room was clean, well decorated, the bed was comfortable. The bed linen and towels felt luxurious. The weekend breakfast was excellent, we started with fresh fruit and yoghurt (cereals were also on offer) then had a full English which was cooked to perfection using good quality ingredients. ”

The stairs to our room at the top were steep but the bed was comfortable, the shower hot and the towels large and fluffy. Tea and coffee with a kettle were in the room. The staff were great. Really welcoming and no issue with the noise that children bring.
Dinner was lovely. Although pub grub it was really tasty.
Family room was very big. Although a little tired looking was absolutely fine for our stay.

Complimentary water, coffee, biscuits, fresh milk and a bottle of beer provided. Thanks for acknowledging partner's birthday - card appreciated. Although the room fronted a busy road, the double glazing was very effective. Air con also worked well. Food and drink were good and took advantage of the fixed price evening meal - well priced and beautifully cooked....

I would advise people to be careful on the Main stairs as it is an old building and these need to be taken with care.
