“Our stay was good. Sad to say, our bed looked like it had just been remade after the last guest. Our top cover had stains on it, and our sheets did not look clean. When I woke up in the morning to leave, I always take the sheets off the bed to help with housekeeping. Our bedroom sink was clogged, and water did not go down after I used the sink. “Very occasionally you come across a special place that will stay with you forever. Saucy Willow is that. Beautiful setting and gardens, house that is tastefully and lovingly renovated. The rooms are great, super comfy beds, powerful shower, fridge. Breakfast was plentiful and filled us up (thanks Dave for packaging scones for us to take away). “Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. “Super easy check-in and check-out with a code sent to your phone in advance. The only issue was the neighbours, who apparently needed to have a screaming match at all hours of the night. Couldn't have been controlled by the hotel staff, so not their fault. Luckily, I had earplugs, so it wasn't much of an issue.”
