“Motel is old and tired. ”

“The patio is private with an amazing river view. It's the perfect place to relax. The owners are the kindest people and very helpful. Will definitely stay again. 5 stars aren't enough!”

“I didn’t know that I booked an old hotel that cabins of mackinaw own . I was assuming that I will stay in a cabin . Anyway we had to upgrade to a cabin and pay a fee . The cabin wasn’t bad at all but I wish they could change the carpet and the awful dirty couch that was there .”

“The staff was great; the beach view was great. The water park is more of a splash pad, pool, and lazy river. The slide has been cut out. The arcade was mostly broken, but 1 or 2 games. The washer and dryer also broke.”

“The location and the staff are great, but this place really needs some updating. Everything is just a little outdated, which is fine for the price, but there was visible mold in the bathroom, which was unsurprising how moisture just seemed to sit, even with the vent fan running.”

“This is an adorable B&B and the proprietors were so kind. My flight was horribly delayed (and stressful as I almost didn't find a way to even get to Cheboygan to pick my son up from camp) and I didn't end up arriving until 3:00 in the morning. I was texting with Ann and sure enough she was sitting on their back porch waiting for me when I arrived. I slept through breakfast and she had saved some for me that she reheated when I was up. “I called because we were going to have a late check-in and they said no problem, someone was at the desk all night. Well they didn’t tell us that we had to go two motels down to check in. The rooms weee disgusting. The carpet was dirty, the toilet was so gross. The two beds were were different heights. The shower head is for someone under 5 ft tall. I would not recommend.”

“Air conditioner stopped blowing cold during the night, and was very loud. Water in tub ran brown the first 3 minutes, then finally ran clear. Room was clean, staff did a good job, room just hasn’t been updated in a very long time.”

“I liked that I had an option for ocean view with balcony. HOWEVER, they should let you know that you may get a ground floor with a balcony 🙄 so you know with people on the beach, there's no privacy. You have to keep drapes drawn so they can't see in your room. Also, the front desk lady was borderline rude. After she was done with her spew (so I thought), I asked where breakfast was located, and she was snippy and let me know she will " get to that in a minute", I personally wouldn't stay there...

“Location is good, but that's it. Truly the worst hotel experience I've had. We were given room 123, which should never be sold... Smell was awful, upholstery was ripped, no windows (ot looked like it had originally been a room for staff to rest), beds were in two separate rooms with ceiling fans that had lights. Fans spun, but the lights in both rooms would not come on. That was enough to demand (nicely) a different room. There was no argument, as I'm sure they knew all about that room. The...
