“It was a great place to stay, its something new and different, when i stayed me and wife were the only 2 people checked in, we meet the owner of the property got a tour around the place, the garden area needs a little TLC on the path ways but we didnt mine this it was nice, the owner is extremely happy nice lady she was upbeat and chatting each time she saw us made sure we were okay and check if we needed anything.
The room we had was amazing it had a rustic style look ”

“The staff are very helpful and pleasant and make you feel very welcome. The room was very clean and well maintained. The hotel is a little out of town, however the food in the hotel is excellent and has a wide choice, with a reasonable selection of vegetarian food, so no real requirement to go out. There are some very minor niggles so as no facecloths, or glasses in the bathroom. Also a low power light which can left on to enable you find bathroom in the dark, perhaps more important to the...

“Such a lovely hotel with lovely food and drink served by very friendly staff.
I was slightly disappointed with my room as others in our party who had paid the same rate had a fridge in the room ( it was 29c on the day of our stay ) and also bedside plugs - I suffer from sleep apnea and have to sleep with a Cpac machine which ness plugging in - unfortunately I was unable to use this machine on one night thus effecting my sleep that night.
However, I lovely mental stay and would love to return one...

“Beautiful location and a stunning view from our window. A clean and spacious room, friendly and helpful staff.
The only downside was: It was a stiflingly hot day and the (sash) windows were limited to open only two inches! There was a tower fan provided but even putting this by the window did very little to cool the room.”

“Interesting rambling hotel built into the hillside, resulting in multiple steps up to the bedrooms. Excellent restaurant and friendly and helpful staff.
Minor niggles on the plumbing & shower: the cold pipe appear to be bundled with the hot and produces tepid water unless run for a long time - not ideal in a heatwave. The soap dispensers are about head level that make them awkward to operate. A lower location would be better. No basket or shelf in the shower for flannel or own soap or shampoo.”

“Arrived and were able to check in an hour earlier, we were shown to our room, and windows had been opened to allow the heat to escape. Amazing views. Room very clean and everything you need, water great selection of teas and coffees, and more importantly a fan.
Great quirky pub to enjoy a drink and meal. Very friendly staff and other guests and locals very friendly. Great puppy cuddles with Angus a huge bonus. Would definitely stay again.”

Charlotte was incredibly informative and passionate in answering our local questions of which her knowledge was invaluable to us.
Lovely room we had, being hyper critical it is an old building so the bathroom layout meant you couldn't really have a shower, so bathing it was instead.
Had a wonderful stay, highly recommended.

“We really enjoyed our three days here. Everyone was very friendly and the hotel is charming and quirky. The weather was very hot, so the addition of two sturdy portable fans was very welcome. We were in a lovely attic conversion and could see the countryside around for miles. Although we were at the top of the building, the water pressure was good and we could all have showers to cool off without any problems - plenty of hot water, too - and the toiletries smelled gorgeous. Breakfast cooked...
