The property was beautiful, the rooms were nice and spacious and there were a variety of food options. The negative would be as soon as we got there and checked in they wanted to sell us a time share and continued asking for a few days. Then at checkout you get someone trying to sell you something else. We don’t want to fly all day and then get bombarded with all of that.

it is a massive resort with tons of quality restaurants and a huge water park that keep you and your kids busy for the whole day! food quality and verity is high! you don't get bored at the resort at all and you can enjoy its well-equipped gym and massive SPA! the only complain is about the room cleanness and lack of punctuality in service.

Stayed at Moon Palace the Grand in April 2024 with my mom and 2 kids (6&17) and it was the best. There is plenty to do for everyone. From the playroom, water park, bowling alley, speakeasy (adults only) this place is great. The golf carts that take you throughout the resort runs until 3 am which is great because the resort is huge. Oh and you have access to the sister resorts but the sister resorts have to pay to visit the grand. Just book the grand and see for yourself

Moon Palace - The Grand was amazing!! They made our experience very special with room upgrade and Cecilia to help us with anything that we needed it. She was very fast at responding and arranged all of our check out. Activity pool staff Alicia, Bryan, Andre Julio and Jimena they all did a great job getting us to participate in activities. Alicia even remember to give a prize to my daughter for a the Ping Pong tournament a day later since we did not attend the theater that night. Food is great, nothing to complain! We highly recommend this hotel.

The property is beautiful. Your meal options are very limited. You will NOT get reservations to a speciality restaurant unless you want to eat at 10pm. 3 out of 3 of us that travel got food poisoning. I believe it’s from food just sitting out to long in the buffet. My mother’s purse got stolen while they held our luggage until the room was ready. Although the resort was beautiful
we will not be returning.

There were tons of dining options... but that comes with caveat. All the top restaurants that require reservation were all reserved by the end of first day. Next time, first thing to do should be to reserve restaurants first. Staff... where do I start with this? Front desk was very good in getting what we needed. Problem started with very aggressive "Marketing" folks who tried to intimidate us into 90 minute "Marketing lunch. They were persistent and essentially caused our vacation to start in wrong footing. I get that they are trying to push their "elite" club and other time share... but there is time and place for those, certainly not when we had just checked in!

Pros: Property has a lot of pools and things to do for kids. App is nice to order room service and make reservations. Large rooms. Cons: Food is below avg even at their ‘nice’ restaurants, drinks are below avg and bottom shelf. Even when rooms get cleaned, there’s no attention to detail ie may not provide soap, enough towels. Old food outside of room takes over a day to pick up. Full-sized beds, so sleep was terrible. I have actually stayed at another Palace resorts property ‘Le Blanc’ and had a great experience and would still go back, but this property is below avg for the price.

Top notch... Greeted us steps away from airport shuttle with a flower for my wife and daughter. We all received a cold wash cloth too. CLASSY but still family friendly. Expedia VIP... got us a free upgrade.. family suite. Thanks EXPEDIA. Best Mexico hotel by far. really not much difference with prices of other hotels. Speakeasy bar is just plain cool.

Overpriced for a standard all-inclusive experience. Have to wait for shuttles/trams to get around the property. A/C, phone didn't work in room. Mosquitoes in room. Reservation system for dining is very limiting. Have to wait in lines for breakfast. Food service at pool is very slow (1 hr wait) and doesn't open early enough, so kids are very hungry. Stairwells and halls leading to rooms are very dirty and were not cleaned the entirety of our stay. Waterpark is essentially what you have at great wolf lodge, but outdoors. Cannot book spa appointments through app. Credit system is confusing. So much is at an extra cost and not truly all-inclusive. Called ahead of trip to get clarifications, and when we arrived, they backtracked on everything. Bait and switch.

This was the worst week away from home that we have ever had the misfortune to experience. Yes, it was spring break and we expected the resort to be busy. It was insane. Overcrowded, understaffed - people were generally angry and the staff was over it. The food is truly horrible. Waited 40 minutes for breakfast and two hours for dinner because reservations were impossible. The only way to get a chair by the pool was to send someone out by 7am. The website is thoroughly misleading. The property is dingy and the room was so loud we felt like the family next door was in bed with us. The water park had restrictions not listed on the website and the only fun thing had an hour wait. We all got sick and have never been so thankful to return home from anywhere. Do not walk - run away from this plan if you are contemplating this place. Oh, and the time share pitch? Seriously!? I may never leave home again.

Absolutely loved this resort. The services were prompt and friendly, the property was clean. The pools were great and the beach was clean. Only complaint was the level of difficulty to get reservations for dinners. Also, not for you if you don’t want to walk a lot.

Check in went well. One is then instructed to back outside and a bellman will take you via golf cart to your room, we were forgotten about and waited far too long to be taken to our room. Room was very nice, obviously some $$$ spent to build such a nice place, but then there is an extremely cheap, flimsy, plastic toilet seat that would sit right on the toilet bowl. Spend all this money for a nice room and cheap out on a toilet seat. I showed up to the Lebanese restaurant for lunch solo. Plenty of tables open but was told 20-30 minute wait. How hard is it to seat a single person?! Peruvian restaurant was quite good. The Bookroom was by far the best cocktails we had on the resort. Beware of the following, any credits you receive do NOT cover costs for a bottle of wine or high end alcohol.

Moon Palace Cancun: A Far Cry from Five Stars** My expectations for a 5-star experience at Moon Palace Cancun were met with disappointment, meriting a mere 3-star rating at best. The promised brief sales pitch for a potential membership turned into a 2.5-hour high-pressure marathon, with five different salespeople taking turns at persuasion. The enticement of resort credits was misleading, offering little value and coming with numerous restrictions. The spa services were underwhelming, achieving only a 3 out of 5 rating due to the unprofessional staff. Room service was painfully slow, with waits of up to 1.5 hours. The general level of service was substandard across the board. Adding to the frustration was the inadequate provision of towels at the water park, with staff unhelpfully directing guests to fetch their own from their rooms. This, coupled with the overcrowded nature of the resort, contributed to an impersonal experience where guests feel like mere parts of a conveyor belt system rather than valued patrons. In summary, Moon Palace Cancun fails to deliver the luxury and attention promised, feeling more like an overpopulated zoo than a premier resort. It's hard to recommend this experience to anyone seeking genuine 5-star treatment.

Overall we had a great experience and would recommend the property to other families. I am somewhat of a “hotel snob”, but also will not ruin my whole trip over nit picky things. Pros: -Plenty of amenities- the kids loved the kids playplace, waterpark, mini golf, arcade, karaok- they had actual Lucha libre wrestling one night- the kids loved it. - Service was excellent- poolside and beach side service were spectacular. -The grounds and multiple pools were beautiful and the restaurants were thoughtfully designed. -The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. - most things were easily walkable and there were golf carts to take you around. - Food for an all inclusive was good- I am not much of a buffet person- there was a good variety- it was decent- poolside food & room service were OK. We had 4 excellent experiences at the restaurants- we loved the Italian, French, Japanese and Lebanese. We had mediocre experiences at the Taco restaurant and Circus, but what they lacked in food quality was made up in entertainment. Cons: -the beach was very seaweedy and overall disappointing - they were relentless about trying to get you to a timeshare presentation - we had a resort credit that they did not tell us until the end of the stay that we had to specify when we wanted to use it- we thought it would be just taken off the bill- so it went unused. Overall, we had a great experience, if a beautiful beach is not important to you then I would highly recommend it.
