“I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. And don't forget about breakfast. Everyday, we had homemade to order...

“The staff was amazing! When we got to the hotel we were all wet and cold. They didn’ even make us officially check in. They opened our rooms so we could change and have them wash and dry our clothes. Gave us hot ‘agua dulce’ to warm up, and put logs in the chimney so we warmed up. Very family oriented, very very welcoming. The rooms were very clean and breakfast was delicious!”

“Die Finca ist ein wunderschöner Ort mitten in der Natur, die Bungalows sehr ansprechend und mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Es waren frische Blumen im Zimmer, alles war sauber und zum wohlfühlen. Sehr gute Küche; die Produkte werden auf der Finca angebaut und kommen frisch auf den Tisch. Guter Service auf unaufgeregte Art in entspannter Atmosphäre. “I came from the beach to this beautiful rainforest place and was so thankful I did. It was so luscious and gorgeous. I loved my room and the garden view. Angie came immediately to take me on a tour around the property and pointed out the sloth and some birds on the property. She brought me breakfast the next morning and it was divine. She also pointed out a white faced monkey. The whole family was so nice. I will definitely go back and stay there again. Longer next time. ”
