“We had the exclusief appartement, that was to the back, and that was really nice and silent. The complex is a bit more up the mountain and not that "next" to the water/center what was perfect for us! (more silence). And even then everything in near you, supermarket at walking distance, or just a 5-10 min drive to the river. Plenty of restaurants, hikes, activities to do. Rooms where nice and spacious, kitchen was equipped with all you needed. And it was clean. There is a parking garage below...

“What a beautiful family-run Casa! Old-world charm meets with comfort and convenience. The common areas are so inviting and interesting to browse. We looked forward to head over for breakfast and see what delights would be offered. Always well set up with an excellent variety. Our room was nice and large - very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom amenities (towel warmer, double sized shower with great water pressure, etc.). ”

“We had a memorable stay of two nights at the Quinta de S. Bernardo in Douro Valley. This inn is located in a fully functional farmhouse and vineyard, perched high on the slopes of Douro Valley mountains offering picture perfect views. We stayed in a room with river views and a plunge pool- it was beyond gorgeous. The facilities are immaculately maintained.
